How about them going out to the bar? House parties?
As you said its because of "exposures" , avoid the possibility and avoid the opportunity.

In their defence, the provincial guidance right now, which hasn’t changed in months, is that close contacts can continue business as usual unless they are part of the same household, they have symptoms, are not fully-vaccinated or are immunocompromosed.
In the case of the couple I saw, their exposure was at a holiday event that lasted all afternoon and evening on Christmas Day. So, since they’re not part of the household, according to the provincial guidance, they aren’t doing anything wrong.
Some health units are including MUCH more
sensible direction, where all close contacts are in isolation. But even then, the direction is unclear, depending on the person you speak to in your regional public health team.
For instance, adult friends in York Region are in isolation for 10 days because their kid was exposed at school, and adult friends with a similar exposure in Toronto aren’t.
