Its absolutely disgusting. He stalked her in vancouver & then followed her to mexico. He literally beat the crap out of her because she didnt want to talk to him .

I really hope he is held accountable for his actions. This woman did not deserve this.

Legal opinion: If he knocked her out that bad, would that not be attempted murder, which in Mexico carries max 15 years.

This is Mexico. It will really depends on the prosecutor he will face. He may end up with one that is a misogynist and a boxing fan who will relax him. Or effectively he may face one that will make it a personal objective to give him 15 years to rot in their jail. In Mexico you never really know how it will turn out.

I think it depends more on the kind of publicity they will face, and how it may affect tourism. They may take it serious because it was not resort staff…. They may try bury it as it can still cause bad publicity.

I don't think so. Just a very, very serious level of assault.

You would have to prove he intended to kill her and that's complicated and chancy.

Can be considered attempted homicide....
Professional boxers do not have to register their hands as lethal weapons. There isn't any governing body or law that requires it. But the hands of a boxer could be considered a deadly weapon in a court of law if they are used to inflict serious harm
