Ryan Doyle fired at News Talk 1010

I doubt it's either. Bell, which owns CFRB, traditionally cuts jobs around this time (mid to late November or earlyDecember). That's probably what happened. They do it like clock work. Think of all the big names Bell properties shed every year. Doyle was a great broadcaster, and I will miss hearing him. I bet he'll get a super severance. He's been there for, like, 22 years or something.Any reason given?? He either said something politically incorrect, or he harassed the office girls.

Something must've happened. He was on 1010 for some 20 years. I would've thought his rating were good as the show just won an award.

Maybe he can replace Mike Stafford at AM640. Mike was another good one. Mind you, I like Jim Richards who's been filling in with Jay for the past couple weeks.
The only Toronto AM talk show host I listen to regularly is Oakley. DING!
I didn't like Doyle and the other leftie guys The Rush show on 1010. Apparently not many others listened either which doesn't surprise me because it was a lame show.
Oh BTW Sirius XM is free right now. I'm already a subscriber because Toronto radio sucks except for Oakley.

He was off for a few days then came back. He said he suffers from colitis and had to take a few days off. Then he was gone again but they were still calling it The Rush with Ryan and Jay, filling in for Ryan is... Now it's just The Rush with Jay Michaels and Jim Richards, who is filling in as he appears to still have his midnight show with someone covering for him.
I remember Bell canned a whole bunch of people last year.

Ya , i can only handle so much of Greg Brady , used to never change the channel but now i am flipping back and forth .
Oakley is the only one worth listening too .
Newstalk1010 is the best talk radio station in the country, however the Rush show was quite lacking. It’s much better now with Jim Richards there and I believe they are going to keep him there on a permanent basis.

You and I have different opinions. Lol. Can’t stand Agar. Loud mouth blow hard. Doyle was by and away the best they had. That being said, I like Jay, and I like Jim Richards. Still, I doubt I will be listening in the near future.
His pay check is probably huge and cutting him reduces a lot. Bell typically gets rid of the expensive older personalities.
