I was referring to the thread title as if were all protests. Protests outside hospitals was intentionally left out I suspect.
Getting back on topic. I don't believe for a minute anyone coming and going from https://www.uhn.ca/OurHospitals/TGH was accosted by pro vaccination choice protesters. It was a peaceful protest on city property against UHN management for their anti vaccination choice policy for their staff any recorded footage I saw.
In the CBC link (state media outlet) it's claimed hospital staff and patients were "intimidated and harassed" by the protesters. A government talking head claiming vulnerable patients and staff were yelled at and spit on. Death threats etc. I'm calling all of that complete bullshit- a smear job.
Notice in the CBC piece there's no film footage or recordings of any such claims? That's because none if those claims are likely true. Everyone has a recording device handy these days.
This law is pandering to a bunch of control freak upper management doctors that didn't like being questioned.
So, on the one hand, compelling ‘evidence’ from an anti-vaxx or freedom fighter amigo.

The protests, in and of them themselves are intimidating. As the statement says, it is also demoralizing to the healthcare workers. They are also clogging up the sidewalks and possibly streets and are providing a physical barrier to access to and from the hospital.
Accosting is not required for this to be inappropriate. Arrest them.
Just the protesters being there wasn't the claim. That one female Dr in the CBC clip claims protesters were "yelling and spitting" on people. Following staff to their cars and vandalizing them. Death threats.
All the MSM had cameras there yet not one shows any footage of these claims that I have seen. Where are the videos on social media people took with their phones showing any of that? Lots of police were there. Were there any arrests?
This was all a smear job against the protesters.

The only footage I saw was direct from friends and family who aren’t interested in being doxxed by the super-reasonable anti-vaxxers, so were understandably not keen to upload to social media or whatever.

Healthcare workers across the county need to know in advance that when they are going to work they do not have to fear that they'll be harassed. Even if nothing has happened to them , they do not have worry that something just might.
