Another blow for the amigos. I wonder how many conservative (hidden PCC) members will vote against it? The NDP will likely support the bill.
OPs thread title says nothing about patients or staff or specific hospitals. The OPs thread title is amusing.
Is there evidence anyone can post that patients or healthcare staff were ever the target of protests outside specific hospitals?
I was referring to the thread title as if were all protests. Protests outside hospitals was intentionally left out I suspect.OPs thread title says nothing about patients or staff or specific hospitals.
Where then is any recorded footage of protesters acting aggressively toward staff or patients outside the hospitals? So, on the one hand, compelling ‘evidence’ from an anti-vaxx or freedom fighter amigo.
On the other, the lies of the CMA, OMA and OHA, who are now part of a conspiracy with state media to promote their anti-anti-vaxx agenda and ultimately curtail God given unlimited freedoms the protesters, or fringey idiots that support them seem to think they have around Sec. 2.
Medical groups decry protesters' 'bullying, attacks' against health-care workers
Several days of protests at hospitals around the country drew rebukes from medical industry groups on Friday, who raised concerns about the actions of protesters interfering with people seeking to access care.www.ctvnews.ca

In a joint statement on Friday, the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) and the Ontario Medical Association (OMA) decried “bullying, attacks and violence against health workers.”
“Unfortunately, anti-vaccine messaging has escalated in recent weeks; and, in certain cities and communities, we are seeing mounting protest which is precluding access to much needed health care settings and demoralizing health care workers,” CMA President Katharine Smart and OMA president Adam Kassam said in the statement.
———
Anthony Dale, president and CEO of the Ontario Hospital Association, called the protests “truly disheartening,” particularly as they have comes in the midst of a COVID-19 fourth wave that has seen infections rates surge across the country.
“(The demonstrations) impeded patient access to the hospitals themselves. By denying the effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines, they also inflicted moral injury on health-care workers who are working tirelessly on the front lines, caring for patients sick and dying from this dangerous virus,” he said.
The protests, in and of them themselves are intimidating. As the statement says, it is also demoralizing to the healthcare workers. They are also clogging up the sidewalks and possibly streets and are providing a physical barrier to access to and from the hospital.Where then is any recorded footage of protesters acting aggressively toward staff or patients outside the hospitals?
Just the protesters being there wasn't the claim. That one female Dr in the CBC clip claims protesters were "yelling and spitting" on people. Following staff to their cars and vandalizing them. Death threats. The protests, in and of them themselves are intimidating. As the statement says, it is also demoralizing to the healthcare workers. They are also clogging up the sidewalks and possibly streets and are providing a physical barrier to access to and from the hospital.
Accosting is not required for this to be inappropriate. Arrest them.
And once again, I am not sure if the above post is a sarcasm or real thoughts. I think it is a sarcasm. Could you, please, confirm if I am correctThe protests, in and of them themselves are intimidating. As the statement says, it is also demoralizing to the healthcare workers. They are also clogging up the sidewalks and possibly streets and are providing a physical barrier to access to and from the hospital.
Accosting is not required for this to be inappropriate. Arrest them.
.Where then is any recorded footage of protesters acting aggressively toward staff or patients outside the hospitals?
I was referring to the title, not a claim. Anti-vax protests will be criminalized. Is the title inaccurate?Just the protesters being there wasn't the claim. That one female Dr in the CBC clip claims protesters were "yelling and spitting" on people. Following staff to their cars and vandalizing them. Death threats.
All the MSM had cameras there yet not one shows any footage of these claims that I have seen. Where are the videos on social media people took with their phones showing any of that? Lots of police were there. Were there any arrests?
This was all a smear job against the protesters.
You mean just because doctors and nurses at "specific" hospitals had their cars wrecked and received death threats, that the bill shouldn't pass??The OPs thread title is amusing.
Is there evidence anyone can post that patients or healthcare staff were ever the target of protests outside specific hospitals?
Yes.I was referring to the title, not a claim. Anti-vax protests will be criminalized. Is the title inaccurate?
I don't believe there was any of that at all at any hospital. I believe those accusations are lies. You mean just because doctors and nurses at "specific" hospitals had their cars wrecked and received death threats, that the bill shouldn't pass??
Well, THAT'S logical, I must say!
I believe the government and I don't believe you.I don't believe there was any of that at all at any hospital. I believe those accusations are lies.
I was referring to the title, not a claim. Anti-vax protests will be criminalized. Is the title inaccurate?
Perhaps he would have preferred the pithy and accurate “New Federal Bill Will Increase Penalties for Criminal Harassment and Intimidation of Health Care Staff and Patients.”Yes.
Can you please link any video or audio recording showing where this legislation is required.Perhaps he would have preferred the pithy and accurate “New Federal Bill Will Increase Penalties for Criminal Harassment and Intimidation of Health Care Staff and Patients.”
How they’ll manage to pass this piece of legislation without convincing all those recently elected PPC MP’s plus 21 Days Later to support it, time will tell.
Liberal bill would crackdown on health-care worker harassment and boost sick leave
In addition to amending the Criminal Code, the bill would also mandate 10 days of paid sick leave for federally regulated workersnationalpost.com
The legislation follows an election pledge to target those who harass health-care workers.
“This past year, there has been an unfortunate escalation of hate directed towards the medical profession and all health care workers,” Katharine Smart, president of the Canadian Medical Association, said at the press conference.
She said the protests outside hospitals were not peaceful, but “were people getting in the face of vulnerable patients trying to access care, yelling and spitting on them, following health-care professionals to their cars, vandalizing their vehicles, people feeling threatened that people may be following them home.”
Smart added that she’s heard from many doctors who received multiple death threats.

You seem to be confused. I was referring to recorded footage of aggressive protesters doing what is being claimed they did.I’m not sure what you mean by “showing where this legislation is required.”
Do you mean videos of teenagers refusing vaccines and ultimately not getting a vaccine? Shot in an area where cameras can’t be used?
I mean, TicToc seems dumb to me, but does that sound a video that would get a lot of clicks?
How many story’s are you aware of where a teenager in Ontario was forced against their will to be vaccinated?
You are right about that. Definitely thread I was replying to a reply in a different thread. You seem to be confused. I was referring to recorded footage of aggressive protesters doing what is being claimed they did.
Healthcare workers across the county need to know in advance that when they are going to work they do not have to fear that they'll be harassed. Even if nothing has happened to them , they do not have worry that something just might. Can you please link any video or audio recording showing where this legislation is required.
