Having been to both Ft Mac and cold lake many times I would say this article is spot on, it's unbelievable what the tarsands are doing to the water, vegetation, and people there.

You just have to look at the pictures.

Yeah, but if you force yourself to look at the photos cross-eyed as one particular 0.1%er fanboy does, then what everyone else sees, it not what he sees.

I agree with my pal Johnny, the world needs more lead pollution, not less. It may be the only way to curb the population explosion.

COP26 was a fart symposium, world leaders enjoyed their pungent bouquets. Going electric will do more harm than good. The planet cannot sustain both electric cars and cryptocurrency (Bitcoin trading at approximately $58,000), we are in a mass extinction event already. The scenario of Children of Men is plausable - just keep contaminating the planet.

In the meantime: boom shakalakalaka, boom shakalakalaka!

here are some facts for the uninformed and even for the few that will refuse to become informed

Oil Sands: Land Use and Reclamation (nrcan.gc.ca)

  • 100 percent of land must be reclaimed
  • Oil sands mineable area is 0.2 percent of Canada’s boreal forest
  • Most future development will be drilled, not mined
  • Currently, in-situ technology is used for 53 percent of oil sands production, with mining methods comprising the balance. Even so, approximately 80 percent of the remaining oil sands resource can only be recovered using in-situ technology.
  • In-situ land disturbance is 10 to 15 percent of a similar-sized mining project
  • Since 1967, 895 km2 (346 sq. mi.) of land have been affected by mining activity – an area smaller than the area of New York City, London, or the Greater Toronto Area. Once mining is complete in these areas, all of the land will be reclaimed.

of coarse not- I am not a brain dead sheep and thus ask the follow up questions

ie is this the full story?
what is the flip side of this narrative
does the author have an agenda?

if you blindly believe something because it is what everybody else believes - then you will be a lemming, right up until just after you run off the cliff

in your case a crossed -eyed lemming
my apologies to the lemmings
