the police and the town and the state would be breaching several constitutional rights and would have been overturned not to mention the police would be enforcing an illegal order and huge lawsuits
Who is taking away anybody’s right to carry a gun? They are not taking their gun away.

What is getting overturned? Nobody is getting charged with anything.

Nobody is taking your gun away or not letting you defend yourself. They are just restricting your movement for safety reasons.

People are getting taken away from a situation for safety reasons or not being allowed in a hostile situation. You know how police restrict people from going inside a fire if not authorized, or they clear an area where there is a disturbance. None of that is restriction of movement.

Regarding huge lawsuits for being moved out or not being let in an area. We have seen protestors have their freedom of movement In public areas impeded all year. Have they made countless lawsuits against the government? Did the people that were moved in Washington so that Trump could waive his bible sue the government? Or I suppose you are supporting all these protestors and demand they are paid with massive civil lawsuits.

Being able to defend yourself is a good thing.
But allowing these numbskulls on both sides to carry arms into a hostile situation is not a good thing for anybody. Trying to reasonably restrict the movement of these people carrying arms for safety reasons is a good thing. There will be deaths on both sides for no good reasons.

For those glorifying Kyle for using the weapon in a bad situation he willingly walked into. Most of us that talk tough in these threads, including me, are smart enough not to get actively involved in this nonsense. We are smart enough not to go down to a hostile weaponized area with morons from both sides.

You want to know why. Because we are using our biggest weapon. Our brains!

The above has nothing to do with self defence which is a valid right.

Well. 115 million people driving cars every day in the US. Couldn't find the stat on how many people are using guns every day, but would hazard a guess, probably less than 115 million.
Every day? Way less, ammo isn't exactly cheap...

So when outsiders show up in Kenosha with weapons, it will be amusing to watch FNC and others here screaming about illegal carrying of weapons.

you understand the constitution United States is written fucking stone you can’t just take away our rights or suspend our rights even when they declare national emergencies usually they can’t force people to evacuate Oh and yes if you attempted to suspend my rights I would definitely sue as what everyone else there. millions of Americans are carrying guns right now blood isn’t running in the streets

these are not new laws been around forever even expanded in the last few years your scenario has not happened there is no can of worms

and yes black people can and do it too

Why do you think the 100 blokes are out? What if only 2 of these blokes did this?
What we've seen is intimidation, not peacekeeping. Those nitwits showing up at the capitol of Michigan w their assault weapons (yes, it is one, it shoots a round that will go through your house wall and through your neighbours wall and possibly kill them. It will also penetrate standard police body armour).

Part of the problem is people trying to limit the frame. Yes, at the end, I think KR was justified in his shoot. But we have to widen the frame. How did he get himself into this in the first place? Why is he showing up NOT protecting his family but inserting himself amongst angry people, equipped with an AR 15 and the mind of an untrained 17 year old? If he was not armed, I doubt he'd mix in amongst the crowd. If he booed them, they'd boo back. Without the weapon he would not have the balls to mix in with the demstrators, and he wpuld not have an ar 15 to lower on anyone, and no people would have chased him, and thus those 2 idiots he killed would still be alive. And he would not be on trial.

Cops hate these heroes in active shooting situations as they don't know good from bad guys when they come upon the scene. And this idea that they'd all be clint eastwood eating a hot dog and calmly shooting the bad guys is just myth. Look at real law enforcement or military shootings. Trained people miss, panic, shoot themselves, shoot innocents, etc. A guy a few years back was put down by the nyc cops - 10 rounds fired, 1 hit him, 9 missed. And not even a crowd situation.

As of now, ok, I'll admit we have not had this situation yet. But with morons like that bloke asking "when can we start using the guns" because his delusions about stolen elections...it will be a shit show. These douchebags will try to seize a state capitol at some point.

Upshot, I trust LE and military to open carry. I don't trust the weekend warriors. I do know many responsible gun owners (most retired or current LE/military). Wandering around with an AR 15 strapped onto them to go to the Walmart or McDonalds is not something they would ever consider. Thus i question anyone who thinks this is a good idea.

I realise that's not quite your point contact, so forgive the rant.

What "liberal establishment is romanticizing the radical left" ffs?!
Academia for one. Some of my leftist professors back in the day spoke highly of the radical groups of that era. This attitude is likely more prevalent on campus.

What do you think happened with the initial media coverage of the Seattle free zone? What about the civic leaders of Seattle?

Of course, not every liberal institution romanticizes the radical left in the same degrees. The radical left is part of the liberal base. Just some sympathy for the radical left and antipathy for capitalist institutions is all that is needed to color one's view.

I'm sorry, but if someone is coming at me with something in his hand (afterwards it appeared to be just a plastic bag, but I dont know this at the time). And I then hear a gunshot, I too would have fire my weapon in self-defense. Thats just common sense.

Should I have waited until Rosenbaum pulled a gun or knife out his plastic bag??

I'm sure Rosenbaum wouldn't have chased you if you were at home minding your own business. Not parading around with an assault rifle.
As maurice93 pointed out. All the armchair Rambos here wouldn't most likely go down to a riot with a gun. It would never occur to me to do that. Cause something bad might happen....

He also said he knew he was not old enough to legally buy a firearm and so he asked his friend Dominick Black to do so on his behalf. He selected an AR-15-style weapon because "I thought it looked cool," he testified.

irrelevant

KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) — The judge at Kyle Rittenhouse’s murder trial Monday dismissed a count of possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18, a misdemeanor that had appeared to be among the likeliest of the charges to net a conviction for prosecutors.

About 7 of those countries are officially considered failed states. And the US is right up there with them.

I am saying HE WAS ASKING FOR IT.

so if the police show up to stop a crime they are ASKING to be shot or assaulted too?

if a woman is scantly clad she is asking to be raped?

If i have a nice car am I asking for it to be stolen or damaged

you seem to be victim blaming kyle was attacked he did not respond with force UNTILL he was attacked

Wrong they do lock down drills in Toronto schools

Note they are for fire and environmental safety, or outside issues to keep them safely indoors.

The USA training is specifically for an active school shooter to blockade individual classrooms, hide students and get them out via windows etc.

Last I checked Confirming the effectiveness of brands of BULLERPROOF backpacks for EIGHT YEAR OLDS were not part of back to school sales in Canada. Please don't lie and even try to equate the two.

20 Kindergarteners age 6 were shot and killed and the USA chose to side with gun owners. You have chosen violence over sanity.

Police stopping a crime is their job. Not Rittenhouse's job
Woman scantily clad is a false comparison to Rittenhouse. If she intentionally goes to a place where people are likely to rape her, she is responsible for putting herself into that situation.
If Rittenhouse chose to venture, with a large gun, into a situation where angry people were rioting and he is pretending to be surprised that he becomes a target, he is responsible.
If you have a nice car and decide to park it in a ghetto, where poor and resentful people live, you are responsible if someone with a grudge decides to vandalize it.
If you put yourself in a situation where there is a chance of an unfavorable outcome. Where you could have avoided trouble by simply not going there. But if you go there to seek out trouble, You are responsible.
