Those are vigilantes.

Unless they own those business and are defending their own property, they fit exactly the dictionary definition of "vigilante".

They're also stupid, fat fucks and 2 of them are masked - which I wouldn't find reassuring.

He was run down and fleeing because he was a little snot with a big gun who provoked an angry crowd who were pissed that he was provoking them by marching down main street with a big gun. The most clear and cast iron defense plea up until this case was OJ defending himself against the unprovoked attack against him by Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman. If he was there.
What you're missing is that he doesn't seem to have provoked anyone. He's seems to have stupidly believed that if he was nice, people would like him and not try to kill him.

If he was getting in folks' faces and swaggering his rifle at them, the case would be 100% different.

Anyway, we'll see what the jury does this week.

I've got a bridge to sell ya.
You are missing the point that he does seem to have provoked anyone. Swaggering down main street with a gun isn't going to convince people to like him. That wasn't his intent. He wasn't entering a situation where nice people were going to like him. He inserted himself into a situation where people were angry at authority and he chose to pose as proxy authority.

Quite honestly?

KR seems harmless and just sort of naive and stupid. So not dangerous.

Quite honestly. What the fuck is wrong with you? He shot three people and killed two. What is harmless about that?

By your logic, if a hot blonde wearing next to nothing wanders into the wrong part of town, she's not allowed to defend herself from rape because she tempted the wrong people.

SMH.

That's not the legal test that's going to be applied.

And Bagilson is actually spot on in this. If KR has every right to be out that night and carrying a rifle in Kenosha, then no one has the right to attack him.

Absolutely. I wasn't saying that you couldn't state your opinion. I was saying that I fundamentally disagree with the philosophy underpinning it.

Further, given the general deterioration of our society, and the increasingly corrupt government-class, I think the 2nd amendment was a great idea and that we may be approaching an inflection point where the utility of an armed citizenry will be amply justified.
Except there's no "general deterioration of our society and increasingly corrupt government-class".

Crime rate is actually dropping. Government class is about what is always was. It's just that people like you are increasingly lusting after violence and bloodshed and using lies and rhetoric to justify killing.

I was thinking more in terms of BLM, ANTIFA and the general dumbing down of the education system.
What "general dumbing down of the education system"?

Again, things are pretty much as they always have been. People are probably better educated than they were.

You construct bullshit about society being on the brink, so you can justify your own love of violence.

If a hot blonde wearing next to nothing wanders into the wrong part of town carrying an AR-15, my logic tells me she was trying to provoke a reaction and was looking for trouble.

During BLM and antifa riots its very common for store owners to protect their stores by walking around with firearms. Thats not a provocation, thats just making sure that store owner doesnt lose his livelihood and goes bankrupt

Know I can count on you to completely miss the point.

OBTUSE:
The definition of obtuse is someone who is slow to understand things.

That AR-15 would keep her out of trouble.

If she was fully clothed, and dressed down in khakis, and trying to put out fires and keep her community from being destroyed by dumb violent pedophiles, that AR-15 would still keep her out of trouble. No provocation on her part.

I don't call shooting 3 people. Killing 2 of them, keeping out of trouble. If Rittenhouse had actually done something that made any difference to the situation, you might have a point. But he didn't.

Armed people standing by their storefronts understandable. Roving around not so. Are the rovers bandits, suburban Rambos, or what? Can other armed citizens hold them at gunpoint If they have concerns?
Can roving groups of armed black Americans do the same?
The can of worms these usa gun laws open up is mind boggling.
