Apparently, you haven't been following the new "woke" U.S. military.
Yep, look at all the low-tech 'woke' changes.

read my post again....people who wants to kill will kill by any means....again not everyone is qualified to be a gun owner...he could've easily planted a bomb too...
Sure people can go to lengths and find ways to kill but if there's already a gun in the house ...

And one of the major issues I have with US carry and self defence laws. Basically anyone with a gun can claim that the other person with a gun posed an imminent threat.
You do realize many states you have to take safety course to get a carry permit even if you don’t your photograph and fingerprints are taken and run through the FBI database

it’s because you’re drinking the liberal Kool-Aid in this country where you have been conditioned to assume the fetal position and let your attacker do whatever they want to you where are you wait for the police to respond and then for the Canadian courts to let him go because he’s just turning his life around

Do you want to compare the rate of mass killings with guns to mass killing with things not designed specifically to kill?
Van attacker in Toronto did a pretty good job without a gun ( and no I’m not for what he did)

Thankfully Canada requires background checks, mandatory training, and puts limits on what can be used. I wouldn't be opposed to stricter limits on handguns like no home storage and even the guys I've hung around hunt camp with think semi-auto hunting rifles are for losers who can't aim but I'm not putting that at the top of my decision making for elections.
Why would you be against home storage the statistics don’t support they’re a danger being at home. guns used in crimes handguns are generally smuggled in from the United States

people like you say whole store them at your Gun Club you realize Most gun clubs are in the absolute middle of nowhere? gunshots are loud and people don’t want to hear it so if you had a building full of guns that would be a criminals wet dream with a police response that could be over an hour away and nobody around to interrupt the theft

And oddly enough, somehow we have far lower rates of violent crime that you guys. Strange, huh?

The fact is that a gun is specifically designed and optimized to kill. Yes, things can be misused to kill but killing with a gun is using it for its intended purpose. Yes you can use a gun for non-lethal purposes like practicing to kill things but that doesn't change what a gun was created to do.

I know that our different opinions reflect our countries but I much prefer Canada's designation of a gun being a tool that is allowed for specific purposes rather than the US view that any tool should be able to carry a killing device.
Again wrong firearms are designed to fire a projectile that’s all it’s designed to do,the user decides what that projectile is pointed at

If you want to go design all of our homes are chock-full of weapons then what were knives designed for?

also violent crime rate has ben dropping even with massive increase in firearms sales it spiked in 2016-17 then dropped off again

Who the fuck takes a rifle to a riot? I would like to see Rittenhouse punished in some other way than being convicted blahblahblah. 30 years of sodomy for Rittenhouse in the big house. His blubbering would at least be real there.
Apparently the prosecutors now want to try to get a conviction for blahblahblah because they know they aren't going to get their first degree homicide charge. The Judge apparently also thinks it's appropriate for the jury consider a conviction for blahblahblah.

What the fuck can I say? Dial it down on social media because you never know when your statements will be thrown back at you by fluid events and blahblahblah.

This has got to be one of the most obtuse arguments ever. If they only fired a white bean that has a virtually zero chance of injuring someone, but once you add dum dum bullets you know guns are intended to be lethal.

Oh I know, not necessarily to be used against a human. People are of course to want to hunt wild game with a handgun and expanding bullets, for that in close kill.

Fuck off with arguments that a 2 year old might produce. Do better if you want to be taken seriously.

Kyle Rittenhouse trial: Judge’s off-colour ‘Asian food’ joke draws more scrutiny onto courtroom comments

Proof they got a racist judge in there. This whole trial is a sham.
Not really. I think most of us critical thinkers see this "Asian food" joke as a silly attempt at humor not a racist slur.

Other than the most hypersensitive amongst us, most of us know the Judge wasn't blaming the supply chain issues at Pacific ports on Asian-Americans. Perhaps, EGADS!, he was making fun of Brandon.

Your absolute lack of knowledge about firearms shows If you want to be taken seriously in this argument you might want to actually know a few things before commenting

dumb dumb bullets? Hello 1915 you mean jacketed hollow points

Militaries use a full metal jacket bullet it doesn’t expand and is not designed to fragment

The police use a jacketed hollow point it expands but it’s also safer to use because if you miss and the bullet hits a hard surface it fragments into small pieces significantly reducing the chance of ricochet and thus injuring or killing someone else

Hunters (rifles or pistols) use jacketed hollow points because they expand to humanely kill game

Handguns are used for hunting all over the world well banned in Canada it’s very popular in the United States

Handguns for target shooting usually use a full metal jacket bullet because they’re cheaper then hollow points

Does that mean that drunk driving laws don't apply because most drunk drivers don't "directly affect" me?

How about seat belt laws?
Your examples quite nicely illustrate my point. When someone drives drunk, the liquor isn't blamed, nor the car. There are no calls to ban liquor (nobody needs it, so there we could very well ban it) nor is there a call to ban cars (again, nobody needs them; we have busses, trains and feet). The blame goes on the person who used the car and the liquor in an irresponsible manner. I suspect that if you tally up all the harm done by misused cars and misused alcohol you'd find it significantly outweighs the number of people who have been shot.

As for seat belts? I wear mine, but if someone else choses not to wear theirs's, it's no skin off my nose.

Charging the jury on lesser offences is pretty standard.
