Not shocking, happened before:

I would never go to a huge event with festival seating.
This was what came to mind for me also.

Festival seating is okay as long as you don’t insist on getting into the front row- if you do it can get outta hand.

It’s sad to read that the crowd was calling out for help but no one, including the performers, heard them.

☹

Whenever I go to a music festival, I always stand well back from the stage.

When I used to go to Field Trip,. the music festival they had at Fort York the first week of June for a few years, my friends and I found a great spot that was close enough the stage that we had a great view but we weren't standing in the middle of the crowd.

Just to add to this, it was also close to one of the exits they had set up, but that was more so we wouldn't have to fight crowds when the event ended. Not that I think we'd have to worry about the crowd turning ugly, the line-up was mostly indie bands and hipsters aren't known for getting rowdy.

The Astroworld Festival is Travis's. It's his third édition and the 2 last time similar situation happened. He got accusation in 2015 and 2017.

Never one second did he stopped the show to calm people down and let the ambulance coming to the front.

He issued an apology but he clearly doesn't give a single shit other than calming the bad press coming for him. 3 times is too much.

Travis Scott, Drake sued over Astroworld concert incident
The two performers were accused of inciting the crowd, which eventually turned deadly

The way the music industry works, they have very little control and responsibility over anything. Drake might have some as he's very commercially successful, but Travis is not on his level.

For everyone wondering "Who the fuck is Travis Scott?", he's the boyfriend of Kylie Jenner, and father of her daughter Stormi, named after the porn star that Donald Trump banged.
So named for somebody's pseudonym? Reminds me of this guy in high school - Stalin Smith...

anywhere i want;)
Biggest surprise is they weren't shot.
What a disgusting comment.

What is your reason / logic behind that comment ?? Is it because you think all rappers carry guns / have a criminal record ? Is it because you have first hand seen things like this happening at rap concerts ??

I feel bad for all the families that lost their loved ones at this festival which was supposed to be a good fun time and unfortunately turned to chaos.. rip fallen angels , you will be missed.
