Exactly! I had my certificate on my phone and my DL as ID. As soon as I said I was from Toronto, they gladly accepted what I had. As a matter of fact, in Old Port, I had to show it even to sit on the patio unlike here.

Walk into any restaurant or bar and ask them to quickly scan it

How do you scan your phone, with your phone? Maybe in the mirror but unless you can use your selfie camera to scan I don't think that will work either.

Although you could just print your code and then scan the paper copy with your phone. Then you have the paper copy if the restaurant, or whatever, has issues with scanning the code you have on your phone.

I used a 2nd phone, don't think it's possible to scan on same phone.

If you don't have a 2nd phone, do this: save your QR code as a PDF on your computer and use your Iphone with the Verify Ont App to scan it to make sure it scans, Then email the QR code PDF to yourself on your Iphone and save it on your phone.

Why is this not working with Apple Wallet and android wallet equivalent. All we have are 2 pages with a QR code. Always steps behind. How long did it take presto to work with wallets. I hope the new government digital IDs are not some bullshit PDF with a barcode.

It is always going to be a PDF with a QR code. Then you store the QR code in an app if you want quick access.

I downloaded it on the computer, then downloaded the verify app on my cell, and scanned the QR on the screen and it worked.
