What is the best way to acquire in depth knowledge of an international company? I do not want to reveal my reasons for wanting to know about this company, but I am willing to entertain both legal and illegal methods. Private investigator? Business intelligence? Hacker?

If it is substantial, and publicly traded, then shares in it can often be bought as an $us ADR, American Depository Receipt. Not a ton of analysts follow adr's, but some do.

If it is us traded company then ValueLine often profiles their fiscals. A lot of the time you can get lucky and access that system via your public library. Otherwise the subscription can be a bit daunting.

Wikipedia, then youtube and .... how about SEC if they have stocks I believe. There used to be a SCOTT'S directory for Ontario, maybe there is one for other cities in other countries.

Go to the Univeristy Library, Business / Economics branch or call that librarian there and ask them: which search engine or publication is available.
