Looks like the supply chain is getting ready to collapse.

Who's ready? What did you do to get ready? Got your bug out location picked if you get forced out of your home as the masses panic?

I'm sitting on 2 years of food and been stockpiling camping gear. Surrounded by lakes so not to concerned about water.

Still haven't picked a spot but where I am I can drive for 10 minutes in any direction and be in the woods.

Do you think the farm boy is also prepared to defend his property and supplies? This is a very common answer among those who chose not to prepare for themselves.

Sounds like he has prepped a plan - off the neighbor. It's likely easy to find out where the neighbor will be.

it’s less of a concern that scarcity will become desperation in rural areas… the cities may become chaotic. If it’s turning the way of civil unrest, you can bet that country folk can and will defend themselves.

I've worked out some recipes for cooking children. Plenty of em around. Easy to catch and kill. And tasty if cooked right.

There are certain chemicals that you can add to your urine that make it non poisonous and - actually - pretty tasty. I've been told it works on dog's urine too. A buddy of mine who's a hardcore survivalist told me that bulldog urine is especially prized by the connoisseur. It's the champagne of dog piss. Great dane is sought after too. Poodle not so much.

When the sewer system breaks down, you have to bag and bury your poop. They didn't know that in Medieval times and that's how some of the plagues started.

And get shoes that are a size too big and wrap towels around your feet. That's a must-do.

I have been listening to that shit every week since I was 3 and that was in the 60's. Go down to Younge and Bloor with a wooden podium and your tattered bible and start screaming at the sky. Make sure you are wearing oversized dress pants an undersized dress shirt that's only half tucked in, shoot out lots of spit while you are screaming, and add the letters ayeuhhh to the end of every third word. You and the other dozen maniacs on the corner can form an End Of Times Circus and start touring the province.

The irony of someone who moves off to the boonies for survival only to die of a heart attack or a stroke that could have been treated if they lived in a more accessible place.


The supply chain will be fine. To panic over that would be to pull a Justin Twoplanes when he paniced over the Ft Mac fires and said we needed 10 billion dollar surplus for 3 years when 1: it was just a glitch and 2: by the time the money would take effect, the economic effects would have been done and 3: I doubt he really meant it and was just using it as an excuse to end up over doubling his goals with no intent to ever stop. I was rather shocked that neither other major party called him out for panicking over nothing.

Not really, the end has been near since before the time of Christ (end times were part of his shtick) My best advice is learn a little Chinese and learn to like rice...

OP, How can you stock up on food for 2 yrs ? Most meats and vegtables don't last that long. I can't live off these 2. I tried vegan for a week and ended up getting physical injuries.

Freeze dried food supply with a 25 year shelf life.

I plan to one of the ones who start up a roving horde. If you get in on the ground floor then you can point out others in need of looting and pilaging.

In all seriousness just like when everyone thought it would hit the fan at the beginning of this I always remember one thing.

Rich people gotta eat and hate to be inconvenienced. So they will sort it out.

I'm already suffering massively from supply chain issues. For example, I can't find a PS5 for less than a grand. I guess I'm a 1st world survivalist with only my PS4.


On the plus side, I'm sure there's enough people around well stocked with TP after panic buying at the start of covid.

My kid was out grocery shopping today and shelves were empty.

Yes food is grown here but eventually trucks will stop moving and by eventually I mean soon but I hope I'm wrong.
