the problem with putting one sex in certain jobs and the other sex in other jobs it creates an unfair, unequal and toxic environment. if women are going to be only put in non physical jobs this means men will be put in the physical positions. men would bare the more violent situations, prone to more injury, etc.
as a police officer there is a minimum bar they must meet even as desk jockeys they still must have passed that bar.
if women cant pass the standards and not meet the same expectations as men they shouldnt do the job.
I agree at a base level, but disagree on the practical level. The police already recruit for specific units based on skill sets , cyber crime for one. You remove the "grunt division" that is supposed to supply all fields and you make it clear = your being hired for crow control - many men would apply and succeed, fewer wowmen will apply and succeed
We already seeing this is mediicine where females are taking over doctor postions at an alarming rate. Its not that men cant be doctors, it just most men are too stupid to become doctors OR are more interested in tech/finance.
We need to move away from the swiss army knife view of police which ends up with morons with guns for the most part.
