I believe murder suspects can be extradited to the U.S. as long as the States agrees not to execute them
Question: What if the U.S. won't waive the death penalty ("Canada can keep him/her")? Are we now stuck with a suspected/convicted murderer?

you are way ahead of yourself here in stupidity and uninformed ignorance.with your what if this and what if that...there is no direct evidence that he is anywhere near Canada...but that wont stop your uncontrollable trolling..........thankfully you keep your lunacy out of the music threads

Its possible he killed her because she was about to take him to the cleaners.
I wonder how his lawyer will spin his way out of this one

The US always waives the death penalty.

Why would we be stuck with him anyway? He would avoid border crossing points and so he would enter Canada illegally and this alone would make him deportable. And he has no Canadian immigration status which would enable him to remain here.

I am only using Ng, Rafay and Burns as examples of murderers who sought refuge in Canada. Laurie Benbenek was another one who sought refuge in Canada. The point being that it is difficult to extradite them once they are in Canada.

I never suggested that Laundrie was in Canada or trying to enter Canada.

Gabby Petito's best friend says Brian Laundrie once lived in the Appalachian mountains by himself 'for months'

Gabby Petito's best friend Rose Davis says Brian Laundrie can survive out in the wilderness because he has done it before. Davis told People in an interview that Laundrie, who is a person of interest in his fiancée Petito's death, once stayed in the Appalachian mountains by himself "for months."

"He is out in the wilderness, I promise you," Davis, 21, told People. "He's out there. He is. If he's alive, he's out there, camping out ... He lived in the Appalachians by himself for months."

Petito, 22 years old, was reported missing on September 11 by her mother, Nicole Schmidt.

Petito and Laundrie had been traveling around the US in a van and documenting their experience on social media, but he returned to their home in Florida without her.

This week, the FBI's Denver office confirmed on Twitter that human remains were discovered in a remote area in Bridger–Teton National Forest in Wyoming, and they belonged to Petito. They ruled her death a homicide.

Police are searching for Laundrie, 23, in Carlton Reserve in Florida after his parents reported him missing on September 17. He reportedly left his parents' home without his phone or wallet, a source told CNN, which makes him harder to locate.

The US District Court of Wyoming issued a federal arrest warrant for Laundrie on Wednesday concerning his activities following the death of Petito, according to the FBI.

Friends of Petito and Laundrie have been vocal about the couple as the story has developed. They have said the couple's relationship had "very high highs and very low lows." Body camera footage released by police in Utah, dated August 12, showed officers responding to a fight between Laundrie and Petito, who was crying.

Davis previously told New York outlet News 12 that Laundrie was controlling, manipulative, and jealous.

"He was always charismatic and making Gabby breakfast almost every morning, but you know, you can see the jealousy side," she said.

"He also wanted what he wanted when he wanted it, and he'd find a way to get it. Not in a violent manner, but if he didn't want Gabby to do something, he'd find a way to make it so she couldn't do it."

Based on my Perry Mason viewing ...

Depends on the autopsy. If it's death by strangulation (hyoid bone fracture, etc) or knife wound - I would guess justifiable homicide - she was trying to attack him and he was defending himself. I'd cite the police interrogation in which Gabby admitted striking him. This could get the eventual penalty reduced to manslaughter rather than murder.

If she died from blunt force trauma (eg a rock), she fell backwards and hit her head. With the public arguing and police stop in mind, Brian panicked believing no one would believe him. An innocent man witnesses the death of the love of his life, of course the mixed emotions - by the time reason dominated his thoughts - the path was chosen - he had to run and find a quiet place to mourn his loss.

The defense rests - Mr Hamilton Burger .- it's your turn.

It appears he has quite a bit of survival skills and he is probably getting help from his family so he could be on the run for a while.

It's also possible he was picked up by a family member (or friend) and driven to who knows where? So, he may no longer be in the wilds of Florida.

Remember those two 18 year olds who fled to the wilds of northern Manitoba? Some similarities.

I'm assuming size, weight and strength differences between a man and a woman. It would be very difficult for a guy to claim he killed a girl in self defence. He could run self-defence for shoving her down, slapping her face hard, punching her in the gut. But strangling her?!!! Or stabbing her?!!!.... Uh-uh. I wouldn't buy it.
