TORONTO — To further protect Ontarians as the province continues to confront the Delta-driven fourth wave of the COVID19, the government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, will require people to be fully vaccinated and provide proof of their vaccination status to access certain businesses and settings starting September 22, 2021. Requiring proof of vaccination in these settings reduces risk and is an important step to encourage every last eligible Ontarian to get their shot, which is critical to protecting the province’s hospital capacity, while also supporting businesses with the tools they need to keep customers safe, stay open and minimize disruptions.
“As the world continues its fight against the Delta variant, our government will never waver in our commitment to do what’s necessary to keep people safe, protect our hospitals and minimize disruptions to businesses,” said Premier Ford. “Based on the latest evidence and best advice, COVID-19 vaccine certificates give us the best chance to slow the spread of this virus while helping us to avoid further lockdowns. If you haven’t received your first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, please do so today.”
As of September 22, 2021, Ontarians will need to be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14 days) and provide their proof of vaccination along with photo ID to access certain public settings and facilities. This approach focuses on higher-risk indoor public settings where face coverings cannot always be worn and includes:
- Restaurants and bars (excluding outdoor patios, as well as delivery and takeout);
- Nightclubs (including outdoor areas of the establishment);
- Meeting and event spaces, such as banquet halls and conference/convention centres;
- Facilities used for sports and fitness activities and personal fitness training, such as gyms, fitness and recreational facilities with the exception of youth recreational sport;
- Sporting events;
- Casinos, bingo halls and gaming establishments;
- Concerts, music festivals, theatres and cinemas;
- Strip clubs, bathhouses and sex clubs;
- Racing venues (e.g., horse racing).
These mandatory requirements would not apply to outdoor settings where the risk of transmission is lower, including patios, with the exception of outdoor nightclub spaces given the risk associated with the setting. In addition, these requirements will not apply to settings where people receive medical care, food from grocery stores, medical supplies and the like. Aligned with public health measures currently in place, indoor masking policies will continue to remain in place.
“We know vaccines provide the best protection against COVID-19 and the Delta variant,” said Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health. “To protect the health and well-being of Ontarians, our government will oer one more tool to encourage even more Ontarians to receive the vaccine and provide further protection to fully vaccinated Ontarians as they safely enjoy activities with their loved ones and support their local businesses.”
Individuals who cannot receive the vaccine due to medical exemptions will be permitted entry with a doctor’s note until recognized medical exemptions can be integrated as part of a digital vaccine certicate. Children who are 11 years of age and younger and unable to be vaccinated will also be exempted from these requirements.
For the period between September 22 and October 12, 2021, it is intended that people attending wedding or funeral receptions at meeting or event spaces will be able to provide a negative rapid antigen COVID-19 test from no more than 48 hours before the event as an alternative to proof of vaccination. These rapid antigen tests would have to be privately purchased."

Before you anti-vaxxers go spend hundreds on fake Vax passports remember that the vaccine is free. 
This will open up live theatre and concerts again. We are edging back to normal life but there are those anti-vaxxers that want to hold us down in misery.

So QR code or whatever app gets used will be the 'proof' of vaccination and the photo ID is being used as to verify the name on the app matches the name on the ID.
If not to verify, why is there a need for photo ID?
I very much doubt that anyone, anywhere, is going to be writing down your name, nor do they care who you are. People show i.d. all the time for various things, though I guess the older we get, the less that happens, lol. This notion of "but my privacy" is kind of funny to me. Many of us are at an age where our name, phone # and sometimes even address were in the phone book. We already carry i.d. with us wherever we go. Almost all of us use our credit cards online or in person (it has your name on it!) Any cop who sees your license plate can run it and bring up ALL your info, if they want. There are security cameras at every 3rd or 4th house these days, inside apartment building lobbies, at every ATM or major intersection. And people are getting upset that they have to show a QR code and (maybe) a drivers license as a public health measure.
CMJ and Club Alpha are paid membership clubs offering sexual services. Sounds like a sex club to me.
The proof of vaccination and photo ID starting on Sept. 22 is only until they get a the electronic system up and running on Oct. 22. At that point it will be a QC scan and either a big green check mark or a big red X.

Yes, which is why Jasmin set up CMJ as a club with private membership fees in the first place. It's not the same as Paradise/Angel's Touch and the other spas. Jessica followed the club model when she left CMJ and started Brass.
Oh the dichotomy! Pay the indy rates + deposits + screening or go to a spa and give your personal information and be tracked!! This industry is losing it luster if you ask me especially here in Ottawa where there seems to be an animosity (at least online) growing between SWers and their clients which is destroying the scene altogether in Ottawa! Are CMJ and Alpha spa considerd clubs? Yes. But, here is the rub, they are offering "massage" services (at least on paper) not "Sex" services, so they should fall under the "personal care" category in the same company of barbers, massage, pedicure salons
I am astounded at the attitude shown here by some members. Showing ID and a proof of vaccine is not an invasion of your privacy. If they kept that info and stored it maybe, but there is no indication of that. And when the app comes it will be a QR code that validates you have been vaccinated. It is not some "1984" scenario.
As for the spas not being 'sex clubs' you are wrong. I remember my orientation session with Jasmin and she said she set up the club like it was a "swing club" so that they would not be on LE's radar. All the MA's are also members of the club, so anything that goes on is defined as between consenting members in a 'club' setting. Unless that is changed they are still operating under that premise. In Ottawa the city by-laws includes body-rub parlors in the category of Adult entertainment establishments. So yeah they are included in the likes of strip clubs and sex clubs.
If you are so afraid of a reputable establishment violating your privacy then keep trolling LL for those "gems" <sarcasm intended> who will give you an $80, 15 minute all inclusive sex-a-palooza, and then get on here to bitch about how bad the service was or being ripped off etc etc. Like any other business you get what you pay for and if you treat the providers and the establishment with respect they will return it. That includes being discrete and respecting your privacy.
