Are O'Toole's new "Woke" policy stances even doable if the Tories win?

Now that O'Toole thinks people deserve rights, is willing to march in a Parade, and will allow women to make there own choices over their bodies... positions my well intentioned adversaries on the other side of the isle may consider "Wokeness" from the Tory leader... What does the rest of the Party think? All means shit if the back benchers think it's all a sin and won't support him.

Maybe he is lying and once in power will change course. Wouldn't be the first party to do this.

I am a Liberal.... and I actually don't mind O'Toole. Thought he was a smart choice for the Tories. I think he is decent guy, and a for the most part, honest.

It's the rest of the party. Race baiting Michelle Remple. Extremist Pierre Pollivive (or what ever the fuck his name is)... it's the party I don't trust. Will there be a mutiny if he marches in the pride parade?

If he wins the government perhaps he will start cleaning out the likes of those folks.

If he manages to rid the country of Justin Trudeau/ Gerald Butts, his party will support him

You gotta choose between voting for O'Toole, who is either really a liberal or he's lying to you.
Or you vote for mad max, who really is the conservative you want.

They may not have a lot of power. And the Prairie Rural Sunday School voters will vote Tory anyway and that means shit if the T's can't win seats in Vancouver and Southern ON.

So O'T might be able to pull the party left - which is where it belongs in Canadian politics. Canada is a non ideological, consensus country - completely unlike the US.

Will there be a mutiny if he marches in the pride parade?
That is his personal choice to make.
If he decides to march in the pride parade, hopefully it is a nice sunny day

And that is how Michelle Rempel. and Pierre Poilievre will view his choice
You seem to forget conservatives value personal choice.

Michelle Rempel. and Pierre Poilievre are far too concerned with fixing the economic havoc Trudeaus policies are having on the Province of Alberta, the government debt and the cost of living for Canadian to worry about Erin O'Tooles participation in a parade.

You are just scare mongering

Scare mongering? Lol. I have an internet connection... I have read the comment section. Shit, I have read Terb. So have you. Stop pretending.

John, I will freely admit, the issues of social conservatives has never been anything I have seen you champion... and I will will give you full credit to staying on point, and arguing monetary policy" (see what I did there!)

However... there is a significant percentage of the base, and elected conservatives that will bot support abortion, or the LGBTQ stuff.

However... It may pull me back to the Conservatives, as there social stances is what drove me away. Sustainable policies count.

Mad Max is not a true alternative. He made the mistake of not branding and advertising.

His positions have been well communicated
The conservative party selected him to be the leader.
If he delivers on the primary objective. ie removal of Justin Trudeau / Gerald Butts from power, he will have their support.

You should be considering the question of liberal party support for Justin Trudeau when a number of them lose seats (possibly pensions) due to an unnecessary election call
Then layer on six years of having to apologize for one self-inflicted wound after another, ethical "blind spots", multiple scandals and an embarrassing clown show in general

Members of Parliament qualify for pension after 6 years
The 2019 2015 election was Oct 19
Sept 20, 2021 will be 5 years 11 months

Not supporting and opposing are two very different things

If yo do not march in the St Patrick's day parade , nobody in their right mind would accuse you of hating the Irish

Erin O'Toole has made his policies clear

Mad Max is not a true alternative. He made the mistake of not branding and advertising.
??
That takes money
He may surprise you and pick up a few seats. Enough to qualify for the debate four years hence

I think John is mostly right about this, at least at the level of "If he wins, it doesn't matter."

If he wins, they can have those fights as internal fights in the parliament.
If he loses, "going too woke" will be used to oust him in the next leadership fight.

And here I thought your obsession with Gerald Butts was entertaining... but your Tap Dancing around reality is... is... off the charts goods.

Justin Trudeau is no where near intelligent enough to create policy on his own
That should be painfully obvious by now

So which of us is Tap Dancing around reality?

Removing Justin Trudeau / Gerrald Butts from power is the primary objective
Fixing Justins financial mess and getting people working will take a massive effort and that is where the focus will be if the PCs were to win

If he wins, they can have those fights as internal fights in the parliament.
You mean there would be healthy debate within his cabinet/ caucus on some social issues

If he loses, "going too woke" will be used to oust him in the next leadership fight.
Winning more seats that the liberals would also be viewed as a positive outcome
The NDP would still likely support a second place Trudeau. (To their eternal shame! )
Winning an out right majority is still a tall order.

However that outcome is more probable than a week ago
There is no limit to how much Justin can screw this up. He is in panic mode now
