You know that they tried to do all that, huh?

Go google "Operation Anaconda". They tried to do it. The AQ guys got away. Google "Torah Bora" as well.

So I appreciate that you're way smarter than the generals, the colonels and even the guys who had to do the fighting and dying. But no.
Dart doesn't use google and proud of it.

Every military victory comes from outlasting your opponent.
Heinz Guderian and Erich v Manstein want to talk to you about the Blitzkrieg.

After that, Napoleon and Alexander the Great need a little chat.

I am not worried about the airforce or sophisticated equipment; those need good maintenance to work, same goes for the humvees, these are notorious gas guzzlers, the Taliban won't have the money to keep driving them for long

in a couple months they will be back on foot

That is why the Americans had so many contractors in Ghan to keep the equipment running, not to fight the Taliban.

a bit more worrisome is the artillery, mortars and RPGs, plus the hundred of thousands of AKs and ARs, the body armor, night vision equipment...

that all said....they already won, so most will go to storage in waiting to the next chapter of their endless civil war

I doubt they will give their cool weapons to other terrorist organizations

Why, didn't the Nazis outlast the Poles? And then Russians outlasted the Nazis. Also the Russians outlasted Napoleon as well.

How about all the explosives, ammo, mortars, rocket launchers, mines, machine guns, anti-tank missiles etc.

Trump sure wanted out, as opposed to the Warhawks that are mostly neocon establishment figures.
This is a strawman argument. Actually, Rand Paul made that speech 10 tears ago, too. Like Trump, he was crucified for it. The outrage over Afghanistan is NOT about ending the conflict. Pretty much everyone, by now, agrees that the American involvement should be ended. It's the way Biden and his circle of clueless wonders accomplished it.

They may get newer AK's than the museum vintage AK's they got from the Soviets. IIRC, the Afghan Army used ex Soviet small arms and infantry support weapons, not modern US stuff.

Not much of an upgrade.

As recently as June, Trump made a speech telling his MAGA-sheep that he had to "force" Biden to pull out and urging him not to leave troops in Ghan until September. I posted it.

Pretty clear that the Trump admin would have pulled out even faster and more suddenly than the Dems.
