Yes

I would point more to the content creators though
If it triggers you to hear the N word then DON'T rap the N word

I think its pretty simple.

If you happen to be at a concert of that artist, sing along. The assumption is that everyone there knows the words, and are OK with it implicitly just by being there. If you are alone in your room, sing along if you like

But if you are out in public, then the assumption that just because the artist who is black is using that word means that all black people are OK with it is not proven. In other words, one black artist using it does not mean he speaks for all blacks, obviously, so to sing along in a public situation is just about the same as speaking it in a public conversation. Not everyone is on board with the usage in that situation. Maybe a black person sitting next to you HATES the fact that the rapper uses that word. So they wouldn't give you a pass for using it just because its a black person rapping it.

So use the same decision-making criteria with singing as you would with speaking in a public, non-controlled environment.

Here’s a fucking concept; maybe if we stopped encouraging people to see themselves as black people, or white people .......
At the moment in most of the US - that is a white person's dream. I don't think black people are born perceiving they are different, society simply reminds them they are different every day of their existence.

Interesting that you fail to see the point I made that if that word is offensive, no-one should be using it.
No, I get you are offended that black people are the ones able to decide when and where it's offensive, just because they're the ones it can be used to offend.

Here’s a fucking concept; maybe if we stopped encouraging people to see themselves as black people, or white people and just to see themselves as people, we’d have a lot less divisive bullshit and we could all focus on what’s important: getting rich and getting laid.
So people oppressed by racism should be ignored because racism is bad?

No, you still don't get it: I couldn't care less, but I object to double standards, which this clearly is.

This is a minor or technical double standard in which the white person doesnt really suffer any consequences by not being allowed to rap the N word.

Save your objection for a meaningful double standard.

Personally, I wouldn't do it, for fear of being shot.

What is a white person supposed to do, bleep the N word out, while the black guy next to him raps the N word? That would just be retarded.
Ive seen rappers edit themselves knowing they are on tv. It happens.
