the US now has 10x the new cases per capita than Canada, thanks to Trump and the Repugs being covidiots. 95% of those new cases are among the not fully vaccinated, maskless crowd.

It's time to return to normal, whatever the level of vaccination or whatever the effectiveness of vaccines against the latest variants. We can't afford all this expensive guesswork any longer. We need to live with the virus, the fact that people are entitled to refuse medical treatments for any reason they like, and the likelihood that vaccine manufacturers oversold the effectiveness of their products. Just add Covid 19 to the long list of diseases (communicable and otherwise) that we've been living with since time immemorial.

I wish the vaccine was 100% effective vs long haul, hospitalization and MDK and there was nobody who had a legit medical expemtipn. Then I could go all Ivan Drago and take the attitude "If they die, they die" as long as in the hospitals they go last on the priority list.
