I'm surprised we haven't heard from Great Bear in this thread. He must be feeling a little grisly this evening.
He had a pistol and I am guessing the bullets just kinda made the bear real mad.
well he should have had a larger caliber or been a better shot!
Clearly the dude simply didn't plan ahead for a grizzly bear attack.
He's lucky he had what he had, I guess. Otherwise, there would be one fat, well fed, happy grizz right now.

The bear must have been very hungry, that's unusual behaviour. It must have been old and pushed off it's fishing grounds by younger, stronger rivals. If it had been been a mother bear with cubs, he wouldn't be clucking about it now. Black bears are friendlier - that's total bullshit.

No matter how many times I see this vid I am baffled as to why people take this level of risk? this dick with his camera is expecting the bear to follow the humans' imaginary rule that you can't tear me into chunks because I like nature and we are friends. Look where this attitude got Timothy Treadwell.
