While swastika and Nazi flag is illegal in many countries, it is legal in Canada. What is more interesting, it is legal in Israel. I did not know the latter, but it definitely makes me to respect Israel even more.

OK obviously the guys is trash.

But the media is the real enemy here. he clearly wants ATTENTION and a PLATFORM. And the media are giving him exactly that.

The real problem here is the media spreads nothing but hate and division.

Methinks there is a mental illness aspect, especially if it was markered on. Disturbing, but as someone downtown every day I see the mentally ill street people all the time. And hear just as bad.

When asked about the incident, Toronto Police Services said that there is an ongoing investigation. As of July 8, no hate crime charges had been laid.

Toronto Police Services Constable David Hopkinson tells blogTO that Michael Park, 32, of Toronto was charged with assault with a weapon related to an incident in Stanley Park at 845 King St. W. on July 6, at 8 a.m.

He was also issued provincial offence tickets for interfering with the enjoyment of a park by others and the use of profane/abusive language in a park. He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Obviously mental illness, imho. It is extremely rare for Asians to overtly and openly express racism in public, unless a visible minority is individually and directly hassling or harassing them.

Apparently he got arrested (or detained) right after. Not sure what they're gonna charge him with though
