Tampa mayor suggests Lightning forgo sweep of Montreal Canadiens to clinch Stanley Cup at home

WHAT?!?!

“However, Tampa Mayor Jane Castor said Sunday she would like to see the Lightning clinch the Cup on home ice.

"What we would like is for the Lightning to take it a little bit easy, to give the Canadiens just the smallest break, allow them to win one at home, and then bring it back to the Amalie Arena for the final and the winning of the Stanley Cup," she said. "We don't want to get ahead of ourselves. But they are playing some amazing, amazing hockey."…”

In other words she's hoping for game 7. As Leaf fans know you finish off the Habs, don't let Price get back in the zone.

The mayor of TB obviously doesn't follow sports, all it takes is one spark to light a fire. Just ask the Leafs. If you have a chance to finish them - make sure you cut the jugular. Go BOLTS!

Great goal by Anderson. Never been a sports fan but I am getting into it. Anyone who knows me would be surprised to see me sitting at home watching the playoffs by myself. Hats off to the Canadiens for true grit.

Yes, Price was outstanding again, 4 min. pk was a game changer. Still want the Bolts to win though. :D

So you're saying if they win the next 3 games they'll win the cup.

If the Habs win games 5 and 6, the Habs win the cup in 7.
thsts would be the mother of all comebacks mate .... it’s tough to win 4 straight against any team let alone a good team like Tampa ...but IF they somehow manage to win the next one then maybe the Bolts start to get tight and even though Vasilevsky is really good he isn’t any less human and can make mistakes ... so far they are perfect in elimination games with or without Bergevin’s cool red suit

Yes, the Habs have a tough hill to climb but win or lose they and their fans can be proud of what they have achieved.

When I first heard there would be a lineup change for game 4, my first thought was, oh no, Price was going to be replaced. The Habs got here because of Price and he deserves to play the rest of the series (if he wants).

The only team that I know of that is named for a body of water. (Along with the Bucs and (Devil) Rays.)
Green Bay Packers.

Forget about not replying to me or even another of the "usual suspects", he ducks/turtles/hides/slinks away whenever anybody challenges a post of his. And as we all know, sometimes he just deletes entire threads instead of standing up for himself.
You sound exactly like a member of a circle of schoolyard bullies who gang up on a weak kid and together kick the snot out of him every day on the playground, then stand over him asking why he's not standing up to fight back. For a guy of your age who should know better, you really are pathetic.

Well, we all know what the intelligent and civil members think of him and his two buddies. The fact that "Emoji Man", also known as "Typo Man", is his biggest fan speaks volume and not in a good way.

Anyway, I do enjoy interacting with the intelligent, rational and civil members, who are the majority, on the Board. No point engaging with members like the "noisy trio" who are constant complainers/whiners and simply toss mud around.

Edit: Is he a bully, maybe yes. But he is much much more a whiner and crybaby. What normal adult is still crying about a thread that went MIA months maybe more than a year ago?

Very hard to do. The last time it was done was in 1942, the Leafs led by Syl Apps.

Actually, I wouldn't mind Tampa choking, it will let the Leafs off the hook and Tampa choked before when they got swept by Columbus. However, we will never stop hearing it from the Habs fans for years.

Hmmm, Montreal was down 3 to 1 at one point to the Leafs and TB did lose 4 straight to Columbus not too long ago so there you go.
If any of Hedman or their star goalie were to get injured then it'll be clearly advantage Montreal.

They almost lost Point last night. He got a good knock. Do Habs horseshoes come into play again?
