I drink 3 things, 2 of which are a must have.
Water. Tons of it.
Coffee. More of a morning habit, but a double espresso after a fine Italian meal is heaven. I could stop if meant I had to give up.......
Beer.
So many different styles, flavour profiles. It's like saying you could only eat 1 food for the rest of your life and you choose Las Vegas buffet.
Spring is for a malty bock or doppelbock, summer is for the highly refreshing gose style, fall finds me enjoying british ales and porters. Winter brings a special treat- a Russian Imperial stout, served in a tulip glass, gently warmed by hand until it's the perfect temperature.
IPA's year round, along with hefeweizen.
And after all that beer snobbiness, my favourite is a plain German light lager. But snobbiness continues, one specific German light lager.
Augustiner Helles vom fass. Not the bottled version, vom fass means "from the barrel", which in this case is a 200L oak keg. Soft, bready malts with the keg changing the carbonation to a more subtle note.
Only available vom fass in Munich and surrounding area.
