Not good but less bad. The world I live in is grey and there are always different shades. Looking at a all sides of a complex situation is not the same as concluding everything is equal.
That is a fact. If I were in a different part of the world it might be otherwise but Canada doesn't have an issue with Islamic terrorism. We do have an issue with people feeling entitled to share their racism without consequence though.

I saw this Jeff Bennett interviewed on TV. He's a real wacko. He said some people told him at the door they like him because he looks like them. So, his conclusion is that London is a racist city.

It just breaks my heart when I learn more about the innocent lives lost to violence.
By all accounts, this was a remarkable family. The mother, especially, was very accomplished.
Same with Reese Fallon, Julianna Kozis, Jane Creba and all the others. A loss to our province and country. May they all rest in peace.

The lesser of 2 evils is still evil. Which is why i wont pick a side.
I never said they were equally bad or equally good. Both sides have blood on thwir hands.
I said "good for you" meaning i am happy for you. I did not mean to imply one side was good. If that was not clear i apologize.
Living in a world where there are nasty things all around us, I feel choosing the lesser evil is better than paralysis. It's sort of like people's views on the 2016 Presidential election where they didn't like Hillary but liked Trump less. If there are two wrongs and one is worse than the other, the more evil one gets more of my criticism.
On a slightly different tangent, It is pretty transparent that plenty of criticism doesn't come from a place of wanting positive change but rather looking for an excuse to promote hatred (and yes, this does happen from people on all sides).
You always choose the lesser of two evils unless you have more choices. If you have three choices, you choose the lesser of the three evils.
Right so im saying they need to create a 3rd option.... get a mediator
But as dudes on a forum we can opt to not take a side and theres zero consequences.

Theres a fundental difference unlike american voters.... our choicr as people chatting on a forum makes no difference. So why are people getting so bent out of shape trying to pick the winning/correct/righteous/least evil side.
So back neutral third parties instead of one side.
Like Amnesty, HRW, B'tselem or other legit and respected human rights organizations.
You have a better plan, at least if you can back independent, unbiased reports they will give you firm ground for actions later.
We have the statements of the police that they believe it to be an Islamaphobic attack and that's backed up by testimony by the cabbie that called the cops on him.
What we really have is zero reason to doubt that it was based on race.
But you are still choosing the lesser evil. For you, not contributing to the rhetoric because it serves no good purpose is the lesser evil.
(I happen to agree. I am just opposed to the "I refuse to choose a lesser evil" framing.)

The only "evidence" I see online is a hearsay argument that dude had mental problems, that the taxi driver said he was laughing and chanting when arrested, and that he worked on an egg farm.
None of which in any way points to a racial motivation (if you have any source beyond parrots by all means post it up)
