The last quote from Good Fellas should be Joe Pesci walking into basement to get made. "Oh No"
Some dialogue when Goodfellas plays on network TV:

"Can you believe this mess? Two African-Americans just stole my truck!"

"So I said to him 'hey freakhead, I thought I told you to go feed your mother".

But the best is Sonny's line in The Godfather on network TV: "I don't want my brother coming out of that bathroom with just a stick in his hand".

Question to Onomatopoeia.

You said this was a contest and people with the correct answers would win, or something.

Who's winning and what do you win, or have you given up ?

Chico and the Man. Played look alike to Chico (Freddie Prinze) and he had dated Chico's present gf.

Name the "live" show that aired immediately after HNIC broadcast, and would end right at 11pm.
(the show went through 2 names)
eg. if the HNIC ended at 10:45pm, the show would be 15 minutes long.

From the Globe and Mail.

Juliette Cavazzi appeared on a live eponymous broadcast every Saturday following Hockey Night in Canada, an enviable time slot, but one requiring significant flexibility and improvisation.

Juliette doesn't qualify as it aired after HNIC and the news after 11pm.

From Wiki: This series was broadcast from 27 October 1956 to 18 June 1966, generally after the Saturday hockey broadcast and national newscast. Its first season's air time was 11:10 p.m.

My show in mind always ended at 11pm, right before the news.

Thanks.. Funny how your memory gets locked on one thing and you are sure it is right. I remember watching Juliette all the time and would swear on a bible it came on right after HNIC. Wonder how many other things I think I remember as gospel but are different....lol

same here, I always thought that the actress that played Marcy on Married with Children , last name was "Hearse" , I thought I saw the letter "H" in the credits. 34 years later in watching reruns, I realized the letter "H" is really a letter "B"- Amanda Bearse, LOL

Monday at noon is the deadline to answer my questions from post #s 1,001 - 2,000. See post #3,294 on page 165, (at 20 posts per page setting). Sometime after that, I'll post stats of who answered my questions correctly, and how many they answered, from the first 2,000 posts.

I can't speak for unassuming on this. My questions are an individual competition. His questions are more of a group effort. Whoever 'wins' the competition will receive some sort of image prize, with smaller ones for 2nd place and lower. You've already seen the Special prize awarded a few times. I have no idea how long this thread will remain active, so there's no way to tell in advance when the game will end.

I've never seen the special prize, I just pop in from time to time.
See post #1,022 on page 52, (at 20 posts per page), for the first Special Prize, awarded to MissCroft. I give them out when one of my posts contains information proven to be false by player challenge, and I offer the Special Prize for questions that I don't think anyone will answer correctly; no one has won one that way yet. They all look the same, except for the recipient's name 'engraved' with CabbagetownStone font, which I designed. Note that Monday, June 7 at noon is the deadline to answer questions from posts 1,001-2000, (see post #3,294 for the list).

This thread is designed to also be a good read for people who aren't participating in the game.

New questions are often posted between midnight and six AM, and unassuming and I often toss in some easy questions then, to encourage the early birds and nighthawks to keep this thread on page 1. unassuming and I do not collaborate on any questions, but we do confer from time to time about the thread by private conversation. Other than the odd question posed by a third party, we're only eligible to answer each others' questions, unless nobody answers one of ours.

When nobody answers questions correctly about a particular show, I tend to not pose additional questions about that show. When several different people answer correctly about a particular show, I tend to pose more questions about that show. "Name the show", "What's his/ her name?" and "Name the music video" have been popular categories, so I put those up often. unassuming and I are trying to get as many page views as possible, probably the best indication of a thread's popularity. We're not doing it for reaction stats; I've gotten as many points that way from three or four Sexy Tan Lines pics than I've received from this entire thread combined.
