We know AstraZenica is "the mark of the beast".

Which is better: Pfizer or Moderna ?

Is it better to refuse one and wait for the other ?

Could you get one of each per buttock, so you get the two dose ?

Please help me.

In the long run, both are better than AZ or J&J, or at least that's the science based conventional wisdom. The science still says get what you can as soon as you can. If a second vaccine or a booster version is needed "down the road" all options should be more plentiful and delivery systems more efficient. As speculated before, anti vaxers will die out one way or the other. Contracting the virus will make believers of some and corpses of others. The risk rises astronomically if you contract it and let it go untreated. TOFFT folks, it hardly hurts at all....

Mississauga, Ontario - Sanofi and GSK have today signed agreements with the Government of Canada for the supply of up to 72 million doses of an adjuvanted COVID-19 vaccine, beginning in 2021.

A subunit vaccine is a vaccine that presents one or more antigens to the immune system without introducing pathogen particles, whole or otherwise. The word "subunit" simply means the antigen is a fragment of the pathogen, and the antigens involved can be any molecule, such as proteins, peptides or polysaccharides. Just like inactivated vaccines, the vaccine is completely "dead", and is therefore less risky.[1]

If you are a young female, AZ has a slightly increased chance of blood clots but otherwise.....

If/when they come out with boasters for the variants, I'd suspect Pfizer would come out first. However that's just a guess.
Also in terms of second dose I'd count on Pf over Mod. although if they start mixing and matching it won't matter much.
Other than that, meh. I got me my Pfizer.

If you go by reports after raw data from VAERS is filtered. Just remember the total amount of doses worldwide are fairly similar whith AZ and Phizer at around 159 million each and Moderna at 124 million.

From what I've ready, both Pfizer and Moderna are very similar. The both use mRNA, and have a efficacy in the high 90s. I can't imagine someone not willing to take either if offered.

GlaxoSmithKline and Sanofi Covid-19 vaccine close to production

Pharmaceutical giants Sanofi and GlaxoSmithKline said today they have launched a large trial to test vaccine candidates. The phase 3 trial – the final stage before regulatory approval – involves 35,000 adults in the US, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

The study will test how effective the proposed vaccines are against both the original virus that emerged out of Wuhan and the later South African variant.

If the trial is successful, regulators could approve the vaccine for use in the last three months of 2021. The companies said if approved by regulators, they will start manufacturing the vaccine in “the coming weeks”.

Senior figures from the firms said they believe another vaccine is necessary because the virus is continually evolving, and to protect against new variants.

Thomas Triomphe, executive vice president at Sanofi, said: “We have adapted our vaccine development strategy based on forward-looking considerations as the virus continues to evolve, as well as anticipating what may be needed in a post-pandemic setting.”

Following successful results in the earlier phase 2 trial, Mr Triomphe said: “We know multiple vaccines will be needed, especially as variants continue to emerge and the need for effective and booster vaccines which can be stored at normal temperatures increases.”

The phase 2 trial found that the vaccine triggered a strong immune response in adults. After two shots of the proposed vaccine, participants in the trial showed antibodies similar to those found in people who have had Covid-19 and recovered, according to the earlier trial’s results.

GlaxoSmithKline and Sanofi’s vaccine was originally due to form an important part of the European Union’s vaccination efforts, but it hit a roadblock when early testing showed that it did not have enough of an effect on older people.
