With all the other news going in ion the middle east, it seems Iran's nuclear activities are still a huge issue. The IAEA has reported that Iran i still enriching to 63% (vs 3% for commercial use). They also have failed to explain the radioactive traces found at two undeclared sites.

I think it's time for the UN to consider those sanction again.

I don't think anyone who is a backer of an apartheid country that refuses to sign onto the NPT should be allowed to criticize countries that do sign the NPT.
Its the height of hypocrisy.

The next thing you know basketcase and his band of right wing crazies will be threatening more nuclear terrorist attacks on Iran.

If no deal then Iran makes nukes if deal then Iran does not make nukes, it is quite complicated so I can see Basketcase's confusion on the matter.

Obviously basketcase wants no treaty so that Israel can justify starting a war before they build a bomb.
Its so much harder to justify attacking a country that's going through inspections that prove they aren't building nukes.

Why should Iran abide by anything? They signed a deal and the US fucked them. Its up to the US to get back into compliance then Iran can be asked to do so
I agree. The Iranians can build as many nukes as they like; there is no deal or agreement prohibiting them.

They should keep things on the QT and then do an underground test. Iranian regime is evil but the US approach is not at all constructive

The US wants Iran to hold up their end of the deal while refusing to do any of the things they promised in exchange.

Look at the pathetic excuses you make to avoid criticizing a country a half step from weapon grade uranium.

So you think Iran should pursue nuclear capacity just so they can act tough?

Iran chose to sign the NPT but they are openly fucking with the world. Ever wonder why the UN put sanctions on them in the first place?

Obviously basketcase ...
Obviously you can't read. I fully support the UN continuing sanctions unless Iran rolls back their nuclear program to a level justified by a non- nuclear country.

Sadly your motivation is only that Iran backs Israel's elimination so you will praise every act they take.

Right, they never signed the NPT.

But in a way I agree. They can do what they want but they should expect the same level of international sanctions as North Korea.

So you are okay with a country enriching to 60%?

And if you took the time to look into the IAEA discussions, you will find little progress because Iran is insisting on keeping their ridiculous enrichment capacity for one commercial reactor.

How exactly? The US wants to go back to the previous deal. What is unproductive about that?

They are already under US sanctions...there’s not much else the US can do at this point unless they want to send in troops...LOL...which obviously is not gonna happen. In any case, the Chinese will be happy to continue buying oil from Iran regardless of western sanctions.

At this point, the Iranians can legitimately argue that they need a credible nuclear deterrent to prevent further assassinations of their senior leadership by US drone attacks.

Thanks 45

The UN can reinstitute the sanctions that were in place that force Iran to the table in the first place. If Iran wants to follow North Korea's lead then they can face the same consequences.

It would be vetoed by the Russians or the Chinese, no?

Until you back Israel signing and abiding by the NPT, your criticism of Iran is incredibly hypocritical.
