Good for him for speaking up, I fear they'll fire him.

Liberal MP Ryan Turnbull admitted that the Trudeau government has been "behind the curve" in the fight against COVID.

Liberal MP Ryan Turnbull admitted that the Trudeau government has been "behind the curve" in the fight against COVID.

Quoting Executive Director and WHO Health Emergencies Program Dr. Michael Ryan, Turnbull said that Canada "can't afford to be staring in the rear-view mirror."

"We need to be ahead of the curve of this pandemic," he said. "Curve after curve, wave after wave, we as Canadians have been behind. We're not in front of this. And Dr. Duncan said this so elegantly, but I believe it wholeheartedly, too. We are behind the curve every time. We need to move faster."

While Turnbull can admit that the Liberals have not met expectations, the prime minister cannot.

During a press conference on April 21, Trudeau said that he had no regrets over his government's handling of the procurement and rollout of vaccines.

When asked directly if there was anything in retrospect that the prime minister would consider a mistake, or he wishes he would've acted earlier on, Trudeau responded: "No, not in terms of our vaccine rollout. Obviously, we worked extremely hard from last summer onwards to sign many different contracts with different potential vaccine makers around the world, and we were among the first countries to start getting approved vaccines into arms back in December."

One week earlier, Trudeau said that his government had not acted perfectly in the fight against COVID, saying: "Have we done everything perfect? No. Of course not."

I read that quote and I don't see where he said Trudeau was behind the curve. You righties are unable to see a contextual cut and past hack job. "WE"is Canada, FYI Trudeau is not Canada, there are also governments in each province that control major aspects of the pandemic response. What idiot would say anyone has done anything perfectly. No one has done anything perfectly. Its not possible to do things the way some other countries have done in Canada.

The latest reports note that the federal advisory committee was slow to take this virus seriously. That's what put us behind, that and allowing people to go to Florida for spring break.

Is this a parliamentary committee? Is it this one? Seems like there are a LOT of conservatives and NDP on it as well:

No, it was the auditor general's report. She criticizes the Public Health Agency, she notes it was cut heavily by Harper but that the liberals didn't fix it.

What is wrong with you?
Trudeau is the Prime Minister and the head of the government

His number one responsibility is the safety of Canadian Citizens
When a member of his party says "We are behind the curve every time." that is defiantly attributably to Trudeau
It is also a clear contradiction to the morons claim he has no regrets over his handling of the pandemic
Sadly there are a lot of Canadians who have quite a few regrets over his handling of the pandemic

there are also governments in each province that control major aspects of the pandemic response.
Real leaders get the job done , they do not rely on allocation blame for their mistakes / incompentance
The provincial governments can not administer the vaccines Trudeau did not get
Last summer Justin hid away from the WE scandal and plotted a great reset of our economy, when he should have been burning up the phone liens securing vaccines

What idiot would say anyone has done anything perfectly.
Our idiot Prime Minister
Trudeau told all of us that he has absolutely no regrets over how he's handled the pandemic.

Stop making excuses for a fool who has failed in his number one responsibility "the safety of Canadian Citizens"
What is wrong with you?

Quebec has less of a moron and they are doing much better. AB and even bigger moron and its a freakin disaster,. Doug Ford has been consistantly a buck short and a day late. From vaccine distribution to public health measures, fail after fail after fail.

Here is a plot of deliveries actual and plan to Ontario

Procuring vaccines was Justin's responsibility and he failed miserably

you continue to automatically and unconditionally make excuses for this fool Trudeau ?????

Time to face some hard cold facts. Justin Trudeau never was and never will be ready for the position of Prime Minister

Trudeau is Prime Minister, though, and there is an element of "The Buck Stops Here".
The headline is misleading because he isn't tying it to specific mistakes by Trudeau in particular, but I do read it as a general critique of the government response overall.

Admittedly that Ryan Turnbull was taken out of context. Especially as he previously suggested criminal charges against Provincial Officials who lift the lockdown measures.
This is a critical element as the lockdowns at different Provinces are the responsibility of the Premiers and their Governments rather than an overall responsibility of the Federal Government.
Canada has vaccinated 38% of the population and is now 21st among nations that have administered at least one dose. Not bad for Canada considering countries like Seychelles are number 1 and ahead of the USA, UK and all the EU countries. However, the curves have to be the responsibility of the Provincial Governments. Clearly some have responded very well while others like Alberta are a catastrophe.

Which countries that don't produce their own vaccines have done better?
And if they have, how much have they relied on Russian or Chinese vaccines we don't want to use?

I still love that his graph is so hilariously shitty.

" Here is a plot of deliveries actual and plan to Ontario "

-- does not show that in the graph.

Classic. And he wonders why he can't understand the things he posts in the global warming threads.

It is amazing how incredibly inept larue is at reading charts.
The chart says it plots deliveries vs planned supplies but then has only one value per vaccine.

Its really amazing that someone would post that and think its intelligent.
Mr Science strikes again.
