In Someones Will Hopefully!
Had a discussion with someone who said he wanted to dig a big hole with and excavator and fill it with old junk cinder blocks and concrete. I said no way that has to be illegal but I cannot find any information. It is wrong in my opinion. The cost of dumping you could see people doing it. You cannot fill a pool in so what's the difference.

concrete makes excellent fill. it drains well and its a great way to recycle. I would use it if it was broken down enough as a replacement for 3 quarter stone clear. a lot of the dump companies take it for free as they recycle it and sell it back to other companies. its the hauling away that gets expensive.

is it bad, no. however I would hate having to dig it up if I needed to as the next homeowner.

It is not illegal to fill a hole with concrete rubble. It's just made from sand, stone and cement. Cement being made from limestone.

In fact, it's probably better to fill with concrete as opposed to soil. Soil can often be contaminated and you'll never know unless a lab report has been generated. Many people make the mistake of accepting soil as fill without a lab report only to find out its contaminated.

As angry pointed out, the only drawback is if you ever need to dig up your yard, you're in for a world of hurt.

Everything has to be removed
No no.. only the plastic if not a concrete pool,, concrete can be backfilled in ..Its what they fill the bottom half of the pool with that counts.. biggest thing is preventing sink holes.. Its funny to walk in to a yard and you can see where the dirt has sunk and the outline of the pool shows

What makes you think it could be illegal? Not once in my entire life have I ever had to deal with the problem of not being allowed to fill in a hole. In the backyard of the house where I live now, there used to be a big hole where I dumped all kinds of garbage. After making repairs to the house, I decided that I should backfill the hole, and I took out the trash. On the advice of my neighbor, I contacted https://www.186needabin.com, and they rented me a dumpster with subsequent removal. There was no more trash the next day, and a week later, I filled the hole.
