Why does the Hobbyist community and the PUA community attract vastly different groups of people if on the surface they appear to have the same goal?

True. Unfortunately, liberals wend down on that chart (i.e., lower personal liberty) a lot recently, so, now both liberals and conservatives are about equal in that respect (but for different issues).
To me, hobbying is a more honest exchange between a client and an escort. Everyone involved understands what they are agreeing to.
PUA’s, otoh, tend to be fairly aggressive and manipulative in their dealings with women. They are not breaking any laws (unlike us hobbyists) and the women are consenting to the sex...but it seems like a shitty way to exist in the world.

In my opinion:
Hobbyists are just normal guys outside of their peculiar hobby, you could meet one and have no clue what he does in his spare time. Aside from the few SP they see, they treat women like normal people.
PUAs make it a part of their personality. When you meet and see how he interacts with women, he's throwing tactics everywhere and it's blatantly obvious. I knew a guy heavy into PUA and he just could not detach himself from it, every attractive woman was a conquest.

I had a buddy used to do the same thing hit on every girl in the bar, some even twice cause he'd forgotten . Every Friday like clockwork this wing man went down like Goose and took a cab home. I am a hard core conservative-everybody knows that. I am pro abortion(especially for the lefties), pro prostitution, pro drugs and alcohol(high right now and drinking Porkchop brandy). But, I am also for self determination, freedom of speech(the real kind), individual rights and fiscal sanity. People like us used to be called liberals before the lefty fascists appropriated the name for themselves. Now, we're just scary conservatives with a hidden "agenda".
Older men refer to even twentysomethings as "kids"- nothing unusual, detective. But, it's reassuring that you read my painful prose so closely. It's endearing.
That's the problem of a two party system. At least in a voting system that pushes two parties (such as the US) it is even more of a problem than elsewhere.
But it is a problem in all voting systems because coalitions by their nature mean you have to decide what you compromise on.
Assuming you're North American and still say you are a Libertarian, the odds are very high you are basically a conservative. (Not 100% though.)
The question is, as it is for everyone, "when two of your values come into conflict, which do you stick with and why"?
That's mostly a question of semantics though - remember that "libertarian" in the North American tradition has a difference connotation than it does in the European tradition. (As does "liberal".)
Also, a two by two grid is better than a line, it will still leave lots of people out.
PUA will do almost anything for sex, whereas in hobbying typically everyone has a budget. Like anything though the process can be enjoyable. The end goal is the same.
