The damage is already done so what’s the point now? We have community spread at this point. Why make people suffer for the government’s slow inept response to this situation ?

I bet a lot of people want to travel out of the country seeing as how much of a circus it’s become. Too many contradictions.

I think there is enough blame to go around between the Federal Liberal government and the Ontario Conservative government; each entity has its own respective sphere of responsibility; each entity has fucked up in some way, shame, or form.

That’s true but stopping international flights can only be done by the feds and should have been done a long time ago from all countries

That’s true but stopping international flights can only be done by the feds and should have been done a long time ago from all countries

I voted for Trudeau but I also think he should have banned all flights at the beginning. One of his many mistakes in regards to COVID.
We should still ban flights now as it allows us to get a handle on our current infections and not allow any more into the country.

India was hopeful that it had turned the corner.

It is evident now that this was false hope; the double mutation has made COVID extremely more contagious and India's Health Care system has collapsed.

We need to let vaccination in this country catch up; otherwise, Canada will be in a for a backbreaking Fourth Wave.

To say "it's too late so what's the point" is so short sighted. It's never too late to ban flights or change policy regarding Covid.
If we say it's too late so what's the point, then way vaccinate at all. The virus is here so lets not vaccinate! C'mon, tune yourself into reality.

yeah the new variant in India is pretty bad, they are stopping all vaccine exports to get even more people vaccinated due to the threat from the new variant, that’s bad news for Canada because it impacts our vaccine supply , hopefully we can get some from US. I think it’s a good call to suspend flights.
