That is roughly what I estimate will get us to where the UK is today, its not very far away at all. Perhaps by the middle of May or so.
Pfizer was sending 1 million doses a week until the end of May. But that's not even half of the population. I don't know if that's going to give herd immunity.

Its not herd immunity, but its enough to break transmission chains and end lockdown. Herd immunity will be reached in about 12M doses.

Show your work.
I was thinking the same thing

Currently in Canada (population 38 million) just over 5 million people have been vaccinated with 1 or 2 shots. That's 15 percent of the population.

Less than 2 percent of that 15 percent have received 2 jabs (which is what it takes)

Canada started receiving dribs and drabs of vaccine in December 2020.

So tboy's number's are out to lunch.

In addition, supply has virtually run out in Ontario today. So much so that several hospitals in Toronto have had to close their vaccination clinics.

In addition to that, April vaccine shipments from foreign countries have not shown up. Now 2 weeks behind

The consensus in the scientific community is that in order to achieve the so called "herd immunity" to end the pandemic will require 70 percent of the population to be fully vaccinated. That means 70 percent of the population must have received 2 jabs.

As of April 15'th, we are less than 2 percent.

So tboy figures we can fully vaccinate 68 percent of the population in the next 4 weeks.

Yeah, and see my signature pic below.

Oh, I didn't know the vaccine was not effective against variants.

Care to share your source?
I had heard that Pfizer is ineffective against the South African variant.

Just google "Pfizer ineffective against South African variant" There's lots of shit there. Who knows what the fuck the truth is.

I will take any vaccine I can get. But right now, I can't get it because I live in Canada and there's not enough supply to go around.

Woke up to more, "No Vaccine for Canada" bad news.

I heard on the news that we may have an adequate supply sometime in June. We will see...

The UK is nowhere near ending the pandemic, lol.
They are very close, their daily case rate is down to 2000 and their deaths are 30 is, in a country of 66M. They are starting to open up again. The trend is very favorble, backed by a vaccine program, this will be enough to reopen.
