Never watched it until I heard it was cancelled. To the surprise of the cast. Because I assumed (correctly) it would be CBC drek. Not King of Kensington drek.The one episode I watched wasn't actually that bad. I liked the respectful relationship with the dad and wife. The hot daughter was cute. Oh well.

If you want to live the real thing, Kim’s convenience in moss park is for sale @~200k. yes you can be apa and really Korean it up.
Ins Choi & Kevin White, the creative force behind the show, moved on to bigger projects with more $$$ so they couldn't turn down the opportunity.
Without them, the show can't go on unless creative rights are relinquished therefore biting into royalty profits.
"Kim's Convenience" was supposed to have a final, 6th season. This would have seen a resolution to the friction between Uppa & Jung, Janet in a major romantic relationship (Raj?) and the end of Jung's relationship with Shannon (strong hints in last night's episode).
Alas, it won't happen now. Netflix will carry it for years though.

I have a hunch that either Netflix or Disney + will produce the 6th season themselves. Disney has a vested interest. Simu Liu was born in Harbin, China; raised in Clarkson.

The hot daughters named Andrea Bang, which always gave me a bit of a laugh.
The Actress playing Shannon was very good looking, but her character was too weird/quirky for me.

was actually wishing there's an SP/ MP out there with her face....
she always give's me an erection...I like the setting of the show, the cast...something I can sit back and watch when I'm high...it's a feel good show...but my go to shows when I'm high ranges from that, Sopranos, The wire, South Park and Silicon Valley...weird I know.

No, not Korean or French but Italian. They yell to each other across the street. USE THE CELLPHONE! Had an Italian GF for a short while and when she mutters in Italian, I learned the best thing is to keep quiet.
Just finished watching Workin' Moms. It was hilarious. Excellent characters and writing. You might like it.
I love the show, Andrea Bang is too sweet, I can't think nasty Communist preversion thoughts about her.

There's another excellent Canadian show, produced by Bell Media, called Transplant. I believe CBS is running it Stateside.
It's about a Syrian medical refugee attempting to make it in a Toronto Hospital. Sugith Varughese plays the Chief Surgeon on the show, he's excellent. Very good actor.
