I've been doing this since Tianamen Square. Same reason I refuse to vacation in Cuba. She should be transferred to a regular prison to await the extradition decision, but letting her go now is just a show of impotence.

As Captain Kirk said follow the law, giving into them is like paying a ransom for hostages...sets a bad precedent. It really sucks that these two guys got rounded up as playing cards but giving in isn't the answer. Start putting tarriffs on there stuff coming here, rally other countries to do the same, keep the Michaels in the spotlight to all the G8 allies & keep putting pressure on them. When they start losing enough money they will reconsider, maybe a 10 year sentence with timed served...for doing absolutely nothing wrong it's a kick in the balls but it's better than life. I wish I was in politics the liberal minded fucks we have are too soft.

As for Kadr he's a Canadian citizen & was a kid at the time. I don't agree about a lot of things in that case but I sure as hell don't agree with giving him 10 mill either!

There's lots Canada can do to let China know that their intransigence will not be tolerated. Hit them hard in their pocket book. Canada buys 400 percent more goods from China than they buy from us. That is a lop sided deal.

1. Tariff their goods to the tune of 100 percent. Anything "Made in China" gets nailed.

2. Start really and truly enforcing the rules for travel Visas. That will drive them nuts.

3. No more Chinese students welcomed to out universities. The current crop can be permitted to finish their education, even apply to stay here. But no more new students.

4. Ban Huawei. Thieving fuckers that they are.

5. Crack down on all the money laundering going on by Chinese nationals in the real estate market.

6. Support Hong Kong. Brain drain them.

7. (And they will love this), recognize Taiwan.

8. Work with Nato to keep up the criticism of Chinese human rights abuses.

Agreed, I have made a conscious choice to avoid Made in China products whenever possible. Hoping many companies shift production to Vietnam, India, etc
I like the Chinese people but no one should kid themselves, the CCP is evil.
