sure we may be more inclined to label ourselves more freely as being part of the LGBTQ+ community, then again I didn't come out for being bisexual till i dunno maybe 5 years ago due to fear from the unknown. I think it's a great thing that people aren't wishing to put themselves into set boxes anymore when it comes to one's sexuality.

I am a GenZer but I do not believe people are really just doing it to be cool

Not true at all. How many women inside and outside of this industry have you slept with that didn't have movie star good looks and were downright mediocre or subpar? Tons. Likewise, gay men will get turned on by and fuck any male that moves.

There is some truth to this. My nephew is gay, 22, and tells me that many guys at his college (Fanshawe) would identify themselves as bisexual as it was "cool" even though they were heterosexual. Whatever.

I was referring specifically to the term ‘queer’, not legitimate people who identify as trans, gay, or lesbian.

To be fair most of the people I’ve seen do this are affluent or middle class white liberals who are relatively insulated from discrimination.

I'd agree with you if it wasn't for all the social influences these days.

I don't remember being pressured in deciding who i am when I was growing up. It didn't even cross my mind at the time.
Now it's narrative #1 on all major news and media channels.
