There’s nearly $50B physical silver on the London mercantile. Reddit doesn’t have deep enough pockets, or enough volume players to make a move to push to $1000.

You may be right. Add to it that people are now custom to staying at home streaming movies and TV. The once in a while going to the theater for big screen and big sound experience and their 2000% margin on food and drinks isn't enough for cineplex to turn it around.
Going the way of Blockbuster? People can watch movies on their big screen 4K TV's at home. I've even seen people create mini-theatres in their basements. No jerk sitting next to you on his cellphone.
But as a target for Reddit kids to drive up the price of cineplex and stick to the big hedge funds, is a possibility. Can make big bucks.
