Thanks for clearing this up. Guess this is all in my head. So people are not losing their livelihoods for expressing their opinions..Nor is this actually one-sided, with people who disagree with the Left only being targeted.

They have no socialist agenda. They do not want to nationalize the means of production. They probably don't even want to increase workplace benefits.

All people tow the line in some way. Even if you're self-employed. So you grin and bear it for as long as you can because you need food on the table and a roof over your head. Only difference with actors is that they are compensated very well to grin and bear it. If you can''t make it in Hollywood, then you get another job in another industry. Plenty of former actors work normal jobs.

The only way for your livelihood to be truly ruined is if you're physically unable to work.
