Someone is on their cell phone without any regards for the rest of us trying to have a relaxing dinner together!

Total disregard for the rest of us enjoying a night out on the town!
Has it happened to you?

It's time restaurants started banning cell phone calls, texting only. It is annoying as fuck.
I am not sure I get it. It is OK to people at the other table to talk top each other but not OK to talk to someone over the phone? Why? Because you can only hear one side of the conversation?

...city of Toronto officials kick you out and order the place shut down- for 28 days they say.

Now that's an old joke.

Because they all feel the need to scream into the phone. Ever heard someone talking quietly on a cell phone, nope. I told a lady to shut her yap on a greyhound one time.

There Should not be anything wrong with someone speaking on the cell phone at the same tone level that other people are speaking to each other at other tables.
But I’m sure that some people still would not like it.

wazup, that is certainly the downside of someone using a cell phone when others are trying to enjoy dinner together. I feel if you need to use your cell phone then take it out to the lobby & finish your conservation.
I was on a date & it was very hard to focus on our night with someone else across from us talking very loudly on his cell phone, kind of ruined the mood for my date.

Oblivion
This was a slice from the pre-pandemic world and is now sadly nostalgia, although annoying and probably many shut ins would actually welcome this type of irritation back or at least trade it for the isolation and desolation.

It gets me even more in places that have actual signs saying put the damn cell phones away, like the library. Don't even get me started about using the phone in a public men's room   ...

I like it, I make loud diarrhea fart sounds with my mouth in my elbow and scream "Oh fuck it burns, lord help my asshole!" loud so the person on the other end can hear.
