Yes, no more so than cash, of course, but its certainly much better than a standard e-transfer in that regard...

Not to mention when bitcoin crashes and they're worth pennies, it will be like you had a free session.

It depends how you buy your bitcoin, bitcoin has a public ledger.
Almost all cryptocurrency brokers in Canada require ID, thus your ID will be tied to a bitcoin wallet ID from a particular broker, and if the SP opens an account with her bank information tied to it, it could be worse than cash.

That would depend on what the price was when you bought the bitcoins, wouldn't it?
Not really, when they're were nothing (and that's where this will end up) getting a session for something that's going to be worth nothing is still like getting a free session.

No. You pay what you pay for them when you buy them. Unless you bought when they were low and they have gone up, THEN it might be like getting a free session. But you have it totally backwards.

no...you do...lol. If bitcoin is worth nothing next week, and use them to pay for a session this week, it's kind of like getting a freebee because you got (insert SP rate here) for something that's now going to be worth nothing.

I'd just avoid those brokers. I get my bitcoin from Shakepay, and they didn't require any ID....

No, YOU would still be out the same money as YOU spent on the bitcoins to begin with. You wouldn't be gaining anything. The sex worker however, would be down.

He would have used his own bitcoin wallet, that he made himself.

How did he get money in it?
Currently bitcoin ATMs exist that don't require ID but higher fees. I believe there was a time where you could buy coins without ID in its earlier days, before government adapted to this new technology.

I guess

It's a matter of semantics I guess. What I'm saying is, bitcoin is worth nothing, so anything you get for it is like trading nothing for something regardless of how much you originally paid for it. I understand you may have paid a certain amount of money for it, but that money is gone and now you have this bitcoin that you need to get a return on. The you money you spent on bitcoin is irrelevant at this point because it's gone. Got it?

Joe Bidens Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen suggested to lawmakers the other day that cryptocurrencies be "curtailed" over her concerns they're mainly used for illegal activities.
