The issue is that Ford failed when it came to old age homes and long term care
They literally stood up and promised to fix them
And
Months later nada, we are back where we started

NOWHERE have they been calling for stricter lockdowns or more mask bylaws or any of the other nonsense Ford has been wasting time on

The report says regional response to the pandemic was not generally led by public health experts and that Public Health Ontario played a diminished roll in the pandemic response. It also says many of the recommendations made after the SARS outbreak in 2003 were never implemented.

Yes. You typed out the first sentence but seemed not able to understand it. The decisions were made by politicians, often in contradiction to public health recommendations. That is why Ford had the docs sign NDA so he could continue claiming his failures were backed by doctors instead of opposed to them. Just look at Ford's roll-out of the colour system where docs went public about Ford and co. setting limits well below what was recommended.

One of my friends worked as an auditor in the Ontario government years ago. He said that the role of an auditor is to audit compliance with policy, not to question policy. (Just like judges are supposed to rule on the basis of the written law and not to question the law.)

As a someone who typically votes Liberal, my view of Ford isn't in any way supporting him, simply admitting he didn't fuck up too badly in the spring.

With Ford being abandoned by the Qanon types, he has little chance of being elected if either of the other parties run a halfway decent candidate.
