York Region is still open.. I give it 5 more days. No leadership at all.
I live in York region. We'll join Toronto and Peel soon, especially since a ton of people from Toronto and possibly Peel will now come to York if what they can't get at home is open here, doing what they did to cause such high Covid rates where they live, and bringing the virus to us, to a level much higher than we are currently experiencing.

Soon York will be the worst region because of this idiocy, on the part of the Covidiots in general, and on the part of the Ontario government in not locking down York too (as inconvenient as that would be for me), given our proximity to Toronto and Peel.

Even allowing 10 people to dine in, and workout at a gym was allowing those businesses to keep their head above water.
The gym I go to has been doing an amazing job cleaning, keeping to the rules, and having people come in every hr by appointment. There have been no cases at any gyms to my knowledge.

This is all becoming pure insanity now. Physical fitness should be seen as being essential and healthy. Something to help fight getting sick.

Now I've seen online, Walmart's in Manitoba are sectioning off what they consider non essential items, like clothing.
Its like something out of a Sci-Fi movie.
I live in a condo and just like many other condo buildings in Toronto, our condo gyms re-opened today.

These lockdowns are now just political maneuvering with little substance.

Right-wing drivel copied and pasted from the pages of whatever Postmedia rag you read.

Nobody's 'happy' with the restrictions, but blanket statements like these just sound un-nuanced and idiotic.
The lockdowns are "un-nuanced". That's the point you obviously missed.

Restrictions like 10 people allowed in a gym at any given time even though there are tiny gyms and enormous gyms.

It's not hard to admit that the people running the show don't know what they're doing.

The same uneducated clowns who in the last 11 months have not understood the measures needed to combat the virus and been complaining about masks not working, social distancing not being a successful tool, shutdowns being ineffective and contact tracing being too intrusive and an unsuccessful tool are back at it again complaining about shutdowns not working.
Thanks to these selfish Amigos we are in the situation we are.
These selfish Amigos will be the same who will be complaining about vaccines too. #whataboutme

I've yet to see anyone blatantly flaunting the rules (oops, I mean "recommendations") in public (except those that see SPs and MPAs). Yet here we are. It's going to take more than dirty masks and standing 6 feet apart to put a cap on covid.

We're abiding by the commandments of our political Gods and we're STILL getting hammered.

MrUnknown you 12%er People like yourslef were claiming a lot of people breaking these rules and shutdowns last time around now all of a sudden you've yet to see anyone breaking the rules.
The 10%+ that are disobeying the rules are the cause of the spread of the Coronavirus.

I say we shut'er down till March and teach the Covidiots a lesson :ROFLMAO:

Of course. Anyone with a modicum of common sense does. Hence the lack of nuance and logic of the lockdowns.
Anyone with a little bit of common sense can understand why they are still open, but considering the recent shutdowns I think schools might follow sooner rather later in being shutdown for a period of time.
