True. But watch out we know nothing yet about immunity. We hope immunity exist based on other same type of virus but we are not sure at all yet.......

It's more complicated than that. AIDS virus still has no vaccine. After 40 year of research and millions dead. Flu vaccines has a success rate between 40 to 60%. We need to take out the political talk behind the vaccine and focus on reality.
I thought about your post. I'm not sure you or some others see what you did there.

You took the science (you know "follow the science") and layered on some conjecture. Let's call it a nice healthy dose of fear. In the media world, that would probably be what we call taking the facts and stretching them to form a narrative.

Let's assume immunity has a time limit. So we already have vaccines that require booster shots.

The last part about the vaccine might not be that effective. So what is your recommendation? Everyone should live in their respective caves for several years?

My opinion is you are letting the hysteria guide your thinking. Mankind will likely develop some immunity. It will also develop some type of vaccine whether it is a silver bullet or not. And as far as the existence of COVID in the world, mankind will learn to live with it and manage. That is the science.

You are correct. Except about assuming I am spreading hysteria ;)

In previous post I wrote about how we will overcome this. Mainly via testing improvement. A laval testing facility in Quebec is currently evaluating a new saliva test with 30 minute results which looks very promising. In Asia they are evaluating saliva self testing machine that are easy to build and distribute. If we can test and quarantine the spreaders very rapidly it will greatly reduce the contagion. Rapid testing will most probably happen before a vaccine and will greatly help.

Also scientist are currently testing how they could add anti-virus that would be spread via air ventilation system (without intoxicating our self!).

Another factor could be that the virus itself kind of dies down and becomes less damaging. That is always a possibility. Virus are weird but most becomes less dangerous the more they spread.

Also when I wrote that we do not know anything about immunity I should have wrote that we still don't know much about natural immunity. A larger population then we think might already be immune. Thus we may not need to vaccine 100% of the population. Maybe already 50% are immune. Scientist don't know yet.

Appart from findind a vaccine specifically for Covid-19 researcher are looking into cross-immunity (that is using the immunity of other sars and other coronavirus) and or via immunity from other vaccines (specifically one use against tuberculosis).

I agree with you we will get out of this. But not before the November election whatever the politician say ;)

Statistically insignificant compared to millions more dying without the lockdowns.
Those are just two people who I knew personally. We don't know the numbers of suicides worldwide and never will. It's impossible.

And people could always argue, "Oh, the person was already depressed anyway."

I highly doubt that the numbers of suicides is "insignificant".

squeezer likes to make assumptions claiming me and others are the same individual
I'd be willing to put a wager on it.

LMAO, we should see if you can have a series on Netflix to help you with your downtime during lockdown.

They are still backed up and probably will be for a while. Ask any doctor. I have a medical issue that could potentially become serious (if not monitored) and my ultra-sound was delayed by a few months. How is that okay?
Would it have been okay to continue to have business as usual in hospitals & had more people infected, in ICU, suffering longterm C-19 negative health effects & deaths, including those to health workers?

Interested in what your scientific qualifications are for the last paragraph?

Aren't we in new and unknown country at this point?

Careful with the insults, lest you get banned again.
You already creeped out enough massage parlour girls with your stalking behaviour on this site, and apparently from what I hear in person. So be careful

Its not only doctors who signed that site, its epidemiologists, virologists and other scientists.

Take a bow, Man-driller
It's been a long, long, long time since I was banned for a couple of days, Phillip. I think 2017 or 2018. And if you have any info about me stalking MP girls, PM me and share because I'd be curious about that story.

Last time I went to an MP was again 2018.

In the meantime, you may want to keep on point on this thread and not wander off into the whimsical world of your imagination. You may want to learn how to be a good loser. It's only a thread on the internet after all.

Many ultrasounds and screenings are not done in the hospital. They are done in clinics.

That was exactly the point. My comment at the end "That is the science" was essentially rhetorical. There is no science behind the unknown.

For those that keep talking about the fewer motor vehicle accidents because of the lockdown...that's only temporary. After Covid, it will return to normal. It already is - someone just died two nights ago in a multi-vehicle crash.

What about surgeries, important cancer screenings and ultra-sounds that are being delayed? Some of us are very worried about that but it seems you guys aren't even acknowledging it.

And I know of two people who have committed suicide since the lockdown. :(
I’m one of them. I was diagnosed with cancer two years ago. I finished all treatments about one year ago. I’m overdue for two follow up procedures, with no date in sight. One of which I was supposed to have 7 months ago.

I consider myself “lucky” that I did finish my treatments before this hit, but I’m still in the high risk time period for recurrence, and I can’t get screened.

They should impose another lockdown for 6 months.

Then open everything up, like strip clubs and tattoo parlours, but completely shut down the hospital and nursing homes for one year.

Old people will be sent to relatives or put out on the street.

Any amount.
CanadaMan hasn't been working due to the lockdowns. How do I know he will pay up? Which shoulder do you sit on, the right or the left? Will you say, PAY SQUEEZER, he has us dead to rights or FUCK HIM, they never isolated the Squeezer's DNA so he isn't eligible for the payout.
