Prosecutors dropped a misdemeanor charge against Robert Kraft on Thursday, saying they couldn't proceed after courts blocked the video that allegedly shows the New England Patriots owner soliciting prostitution, according to Palm Beach County court records that The Associated Press obtained.

Attorney Dave Aronberg will explain his decision in a press conference scheduled for Thursday afternoon.

Kraft was charged with two counts of soliciting prostitution in February 2019. Several others were also charged following an eight-month investigation into human trafficking at Florida spas. He pleaded not guilty a month later and requested a jury trial.

The Florida 4th District Court of Appeal found in August that Jupiter police violated Kraft's rights when they secretly installed video cameras inside the Orchids of Asia Day Spa early last year. The courts later blocked video footage at

trial, and that was the only known evidence against the 79-year-old.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Kraft would be subject to the league's personal conduct policy following his arrest. The owner could still be disciplined for the incident.

Robert Kraft beat the rap even though thousands of men have been prosecuted successfully in the US with police employing this ensnarement strategy. So the Kraft defense team is the first to employ their successful strategy? Belongs in the realm of Ripley's believe it or not.
I think there was probably a flaw in the warrant for the cops installing the hidden snoopy cameras, or else no warrant at all. The article said that the entire case against Kraft was based on the video footage.

No warrant / bad warrant = no cameras = no video footage = no prosecution evidence = withdrawal of charges.

Nope go back and re-read
Warrant was valid
Installation was valid

At issue was privacy
Because they accidentally caught other people in the spa who were not subject to investigation

Really its a (stupid) technicality

Aaah, okay. Thanks.

I didn't read the history of the case and the technical details. The people "who were not subject to investigation" - were they guys who just wanted a legit massage? Or did the warrant name specific people who were subject to investigation?

Both
Not every person who went there paid (or even asked) for full service
Some people who just want HE or (gasps) a legit massage do wander into these places (or even someone who chickens out to ask for extras)

Like I said I fail to see why its an issue since none of them were ID or even subject to investigations since this sting was clearly to target Kraft
But I would (assume) to catch him they knew he was heading there and prob bugged every room and common areas

Money talks, he is a friend of the POTUS who has done the same. Kraft was caught on tape in an Asian whorehouse. Just because he perhaps didn’t do fs, at least on tape doesn’t make the situation and different whether you pay to do oral, anal, vaginal or manual to get you off .

I have never seen so much bullshit written on a thread

You are all a bunch of hypocrites....

I am certain none of you would in your life admit that you visit such places.

The reality is that spending money to investigate this places is a waist of resources that have zero return....

When the DA is a waist of resources, the court system becomes kneedy and the cops can't keep a breast of crime.

The judge nose what he's doing.

Everybody nose that Kraft is a Uber mensch who scent his New England Patriots jet to fly to China and back to drop off a load of N95 masks. However pursuing the fact that he may have drop his load in a Chinese whorehouse operation in Florida in a LE sting just may waist his legacy.

The charges against all clients charged in the investigation of the 2 massage parlours have been dropped. One of the men charged is suing the federal govt. for invasion of privacy. He is hoping to include all clients in a class action. The warrant that the police obtained had a number of conditions attached which the police ignored. This is the reason the evidence obtained was thrown out.
The only charges still outstanding in the case are against 2 workers at the massage parlours.

More likely his lawyers fixed it in return for future considerations.

That dude has some big balls to poke the tiger like that

Imagine committing an illegal act, getting off on a technicality, then trying to sue the government?

Someone is gonna get his prostate examined by Homeland Security next time he tries to fly lol
