Looks like bodycare has finally shut its doors for good. Big for lease sign in the window. In the 16 or so years I had been going there, I can probably count the number of times on one hand that ive had a bad time. But, Rosa couldn’t and didn’t really want to keep up with the more liberal attitude of the other Massage places. Was always a fantastic place to get an RMT level massage by almost any attendant, and that little extra.

Noooooooo! Haven’t been in a while since I’m no longer in town but always an amazing massage. I used to see Vanessa and Melinda back in the day. One time my SO asked me how I got the bruise on my back as it was a few days after I saw Vanessa. She was amazing at getting the tension out but for a price. No pain, no gain as they say. There can’t be too many of the old school MP’s around anymore, those that give a great massage with few extra options. Just Michelle’s and Maureen’s come to mind.

I am currently not available since I got a cold and decided to get tested for Covid. I will return only when I get my results and it’s fully safe for my clients.

I didn’t know that Rosa worked at Michelle’s. I though she got her start at Body Senses on Baseline across from Home Depot and then moved to Riverside? I don’t even think ALO was around then. Maybe Oasis on St. Laurent and Luna on Carling but they were seperate businesses and Angel’s was just by themselves further along Bentley towards Merivale.
I remember Krista and Ann (Pauline's sister) used to work out of a condo in Hull on Laurier. Saw them both there but must admit that I enjoyed Krista much more. Found Ann to be too mechanical with too many rules.
We should always defer to the master when it comes to MP history in Ottawa. I saw Krista a couple of times and I think she was one of my firsts at Michelle’s but she went by “Samantha” back then. Correct me if I’m wrong. I seem to recall she had a place in the Somerset/O’Connor area before she moved out to Carling and Sylvie (AKA Laeticia) worked with her. Again correct me if I’m wrong. Whiteman is right. After she left Luna it merged with Oasis and Acqua and then later acquired the old Triple A on Montreal Rd.
Well isn't this a nice trip down memory lane! Wow haven't thought about some of these places in a long time. Body Care, one of my first ever massage spas -- remember being so nervous heading in there. It was also where I met one of my favourites Sarah, who later became Samira, I believe. Also where I met Sophia, who later went on to fame and legendary status elsewhere as Taylor!
And Acqua on Booth -- where the dividers between the rooms didn't even go all the way to the top. so many fun memories. My all time favourite Sally. Does anyone remember her? Once she was gone, Sierra was my next all time favourite.....those were the days!

On a related note, for a while, I was trying to maintain what I dubbed the ALO spreadsheet -- with all of the names and descriptions of the MAs at the three locations. This is well over a decade ago I would guess - long before Brass and CMJ and long before decent websites....haha. The effort. It was also the reason I got my first warning on the rosy board -- because the word "saggy" appeared in the spreadsheet -- didn't go over very well!!
I remember back in those early days there used to be an excel spreadsheet floating around terb, that would give all the details of each spa, who worked there, services, looks, and even receipts. Was never really kept up to date like the current spreadsheet, but i always had a copy of it sitting in my desk at work. that thing was golden, and I think it was the only reason i found BC to begin with.
Sophia/Taylor was tall, blonde, tattooed and slightly wild....lots of fun. She didn't last long at Body Care -- didn't really fit the typical Body Care type. I don't know where she went after that.
Sally at ALO was short, fit, dark hair, had sort of a skater/raver aesthetic. Just lots of fun and we had a good connection. Interestingly, just thinking about her again today made me remember the short lived ALO location in Hull! If I recall correctly, it was on Tache near the Dairy Queen. Attached to a hair salon. Does anyone else remember that?
I think she worked for the lady that owned Hannia's Esthetics. Does that name ring a bell? Anyway, that same lady massages out of the building across whitehorse restaurant. Not much of a shiny outside but she has one or two girls with her still, or as of a year ago anyway.
Hannia’s was Still around pre-COVID, in March. In fact, I believe Eli left Body care late last year and started working there. At least they were using her pictures on the advertisements.

Wow Poolasaurus a Sally/Maya duo must have been incredible. Both were amazing. Hope you enjoyed that one! That would be one for the memory bank indeed.
For the Carol/Anne/Carole-anne that we are talking about, is she still working and available? That would also be a blast from the past! I remember seeing her way back in the day!
