The authorities can't even decide to extend unemployment top ups.I suppose the authorities will make some kind of compromise solution on rent and mortgage payments. I rent my own home and my landlord has given good discounts now. nobody wants a complete collapse.
In fact the only thing they can agree on is liability protection for certain businesses.
Right after the 2008 bailout the banks foreclosed on 500,000 homes
Then they were sold or transfered to companies to rent them out, meanwhile they mortgages them to the hilt and used the cash to invest in high risk stock.
And just like in 2008 they also sold the debt off as an investment.
And with a probable Biden win they know they will get bailed out again.
In other words they don't care about a collapse. Small landlords may do this. The big ones have already started the eviction process.
