Florida and the Seminole nation settled the name several years ago and were OK'ed to keep the name.

The Seminoles and Florida State University actually seem to have a pretty good relationship. You are probably right about the other teams...and don’t forget about the Atlanta Braves and their “Tomahawk Chop” chant.
