You forgot one part of this quote. It's "friends say" or "people that knew the victim say"...lol.They were just about to turn their lives around

Houdini is well known in the Toronto hip hop scene, he was young and had a lot of potential. Now no need for Tavis and carding. Those young men involved in this shooting were simply victims of the racist society. They were just about to turn their lives around
this high capacity magazine is banned in this country and handguns are limited to 10 round magazines. That being said it is obvious that the gun or at least the magazine in that gun is illegalLegal or not, one of the guns had 30 rounds. How many good upstanding citizens need a gun with 30 rounds?
That gun could have wiped out an entire patio if the patio had been open.

I watched some of his instagram and there's nothing to suggest he encouraged violencePotential for what?
Potential for inciting more street shootouts and wounding or killing other little six year old boys, their mothers and any random person walking down the street?
Potential for more misogyny (I read some of his vulgar, despicable lyrics) against young women who will get pregnant and spawn even more of these unfortunate single mother children?
Potential for further reducing unemployment in COVID times by hiring more than these three young friends from his neighbourhood to be armed bodyguards?
Potential role model for the other 15 year old boys to follow and choose a 30 round magazine for their gun?
I walked down that very sidewalk and grabbed a coffee and Paris Brest pastry at the Fresh made cafe at Bisha a couple days before the shooting! The same footsteps as these street rats.
Look, it's sad when anyone dies, but when you actively seek, live and promote a lifestyle that (obviously) requires you to have 3 armed bodyguards that will shoot up a street in Toronto, then you pretty much committed suicide
He glamorized violence and drug trade in ways that now seem profoundly and sadly ironic.I watched some of his instagram and there's nothing to suggest he encouraged violence

He liked nice cars and Rolexes. So what, I like them too.
Nothing violent about that

It's just poetic expression fuelled by his socio-economic realities or something like that. Not unlike Tupac or N.W.A or even 2Live Crew. Controversy and, yes, violent death is part of the package. Years ago, we were getting properly plastered at the Park Hyatt when 50 Cents was staying there with his hangers on and the extra security and somehow we got intermingled. The guy had a chip on his shoulder the size of 2×12 and there was some pushing and shoving, some colorful language and unfulfilled promises. It's a lifestyle and this guy just paid the price. He glamorized violence and drug trade in ways that now seem profoundly and sadly ironic.
Here are the lyrics from one of his best known songs:
Late nights, what's the price
If it's more than ten bands then them door's get flied
These niggas they switch up, they switch up for a price
Take that loyalty right to the heart, it got no price
Gotta keep it on me in my city it ain't nice
Before I lived that life I'd already done seen that life
They love you when you down
When you up it change your nigga mind
Free the gang, they tryna separate us with time
And I can't give her all my time is gon' fuck up my grind
My youngins really on it they just steady tryna ride
My niggas they some shooters, ain't scared to let it go on sight
Agreed. The US media needs to stop idolizing and glamourizing these numpties and losers...and before anyone jumps on the race bandwagon: I do not mean black people (any type/color of loser)...I'm talking about these lazy and/or stupid guys. His stupid choices, bad circle of friends and likely an absent single mother all made him disappear. It's not hard to make it in Canada the honest way if you try but if you're stupid or lazy like this guy and search for the easy money that usually leads to trouble.
Toronto's black community needs to stop playing the victim look inward and make changes. They keep repeating the same cycle and boo hoo when they get killed always saying XTZ was a good boy with a good heart etc.
You don't see this crap from other minority groups like the Chinese or the Jews or the Iranians.
