Now I’m getting a little pissed with the cancellations months in the future. Went to the CNE as a wee lad every year with the parents & all through my teens & 20’s. A lot of small businesses come from all over the country for it & it’s large source of their income. Who knows the numbers could be very small by then

Maybe you should advocate for a Carnie Emergency Response Benefit.

Large public gathering restrictions will not be lifted until phase 3, and that’s months away so I fully understand why the Ex is cancelled.
These large events are a breeding ground for spreading the virus The PDC pacific dental conference in Vancouver is a perfect example of that, I have 2 friends amongst the over 80 people who contracted the Coronavirus at that conference.

Large gatherings, sporting events and concerts till there is some kind of vaccine might allow 25-50% of normally capacity if they allow any people in to arena's or stadiums again.
Something we are just going to have to get use to, going to your favorite restaurant or night club could be a thing of the past for another year to 18 months.

Wow. You really seem stressed. Maybe you're just not cut out to be a security guard.

Maybe if this dark cloud passes by thanksgiving, they could turn it into a fall fair so that all is not lost.

You haven't a clue what you're talking about. The government used no criteria to cut our projects, it was completely arbitrary. Side by side sites were treated differently even though the scope and the manpower needs were virtually identical as were the threat levels. A complete amateur hour all around within a clusterfuck. Millions in revenues simply gone for no return of any kind. I guess it's hard to see the big picture from your basement, eh?

Shocking, they say the only other time they cancelled was during the war.

I support being closed to large groups to fight the virus but to have to get use to something forever because of covid is wrong.

Forced vaccinations to go out in public is wrong as well.

Vaccinations should be mandatory for the ones in danger and optional for the healthy.

I see it as adding fluoride to drinking water for the masses to help the .01% that cant afford a tooth brush or mouth wash.

We do live in a democracy, at least I thought we did?

Yes, we live in a democracy. Not anarchy.

Democracy does not mean you get to do whatever you want. It means that we have a government and that government s elected by the people to make laws that govern the people. Ultimately there is a vote and if the result is 50 percent plus 1, the bill becomes a law and you get to obey it.

If they discover a vaccine, and the law says you get a vaccine, then you damn well get a vaccine. End of story.

Democracy does not mean you get to choose.

Okay to refuse a vaccine, but that should mean no Gov healthcare for you.
