Working from home everyday is slowly driving me crazy. All the activities that I normally enjoy are temporarily closed. I am currently learning a third language and doing day trading for fun, but still have too much free times on hands. What else can I do during the pandemic, it would be great if i can make some side income out of it.

I've heard great feedback from non-3rd-party food delivery folks. If you're working for someone who has dedicated drivers people seem to be tipping serious $$.

I, personally, would be happy to pay $30 for someone to shop for me at Costco. It seems Costco does not offer grocery pick-up service and big companies (like instacart) do not deliver from Costco.

With this logic it's no wonder you don't see anything wrong with Landloards sexually exploiting female tenants. Who the fuck would do this for 30 bucks....

The same people who do it for $15 working at Instacart by shopping for groceries at Loblaws and delivering it. Or anyone who used to work (or still works) for the minimum wage (you know, it is not high skill job). There are several big "we shop for your groceries and deliver to your door" companies with very little delivery fees, but, unfortunately, they do not work with Costco. The question was about the gig employment, and 2-hour job for the minimum wage is exactly what it is. In fact, I would be OK to drive to Costco myself so that this person simply load the grocery to the trunk (as Walmart and Loblaws employee do), so, it is actually $30 for 1 hour work. Pretty high pay I think. Or do you believe such job require higher pay? If yes, what should be the hourly pay for in-store shopper?

By the way, with such logic it is no wonder you are OK with old people having sex with underage girls in foreign countries (you can find the reference to it in the exact same place where you can find the reference where I say I am OK with any sexual exploitation)

That's not what you said. You said Costco doesn't offer this service so you would pay someone 30 bucks to do it. This person has to drive to Costco, go find all the shit you want, then drive to your house, then back home. Minium 2 hours plus gas. Your not even going to make 15 bucks an hour.

I live in Ottawa: you can go across the town in less than 20 minutes now. So, it is exactly $15/hour. OK, I'll tip the guy an extra $10 (in fact, for some food that only Costs sells I would be willing to pay $100 to the shopper, but it is just me because I really want it. Others may want to pay much less). My point is that was an example of the gigs some people would be willing to pay for. I have never spent more than 90 minutes shopping at my local Costco in the past (and it includes driving time and checking out). Often I am done in less than an hour. With a few clients there is an economy of scale that will make it above minimum wage. The only problem, of course, is trust, but if one starts doing it for "friends of the friends of the friends", one can definitely pick up an extra $300 a week on average. Beats working at Walmart especially since if its is a cash gig on top of CERB payments. I am not sure what other new gig jobs the current situation presents. Mobile winter/summer tires change may be in high demand? Prescriptions pick-up? Anything that transfers the virus exposure from the client to the employee.

Undertaker. Grave digger.
Have done this for 4 years to pay for my university. A very humbling experience especially talking to the funeral directors and getting a sense of their insights and indifference. I also met some pretty sick people doing this job. Example like one guy I knew who worked the crematorium used to smoke crack each day. It was the only way he knew how to deal with the job. Guy had some pretty fucked up insightis and used to talk about really fucked up things like psychopath type of dude.

But yeah will always need someone to do this. They might need people and help during this time.

I shop at the Costco in NewMarket. Meet me there on Wednesday and I’ll gladly do your shopping for $30.
