I'm not a doctor, however, I thought that it was impossible to "cure" a virus.

With a virus, it needs to run its course and your immune system eventually does its thing.

With viruses, the magic bullet is a vaccine to prevent you from getting the disease in the first place. Either that or they can come up with anti virals to treat the symptoms, but no such possible thing as a cure. That's why there is no such thing as a cure for the common cold or the flu. You need to ride it out.

Antibiotics can definitely cure a bacterial infection, but are useless against a virus.

To come up with a vaccine (if it's even possible) usually takes 3 years. I've heard it said that with covid, and everyone in the world working together (which will never happen) at BEST a vaccine will take 18 months.

But I'd be thrilled if there would be some sort of a treatment I agree.

The vaccine will only last 8-10 weeks
Anything that helps "flatten the curve" would be great. We need to at least get to a point where hospitals aren't overflowing with Covid-19 patients and health-care workers aren't so overloaded. That's where it helps if idiots wouldn't insist on leaving the house for no good reason.

It took 17 years for the SARS virus to mutate. We can't do much about the current contagion but we can prepare for the inevitable 3rd mutation.

I don't take these type of videos seriously unless it's from the NCCID in Winnipeg. They came up with the antidote for Ebola and Jakob Cruitzfeld Syndrome (Mad Cow).

Posting nonsense like this (even in jest) doesn't help, especially when there are already enough imbeciles out there who will believe it.
For everyone who doesn't know Canada-man, 99% of his posts are miss-information.

Vancouver Canada UBC researchers claim find of COVID-19 trial drug:

“There is hope for this horrible outbreak,” researcher says

University of British Columbia researchers say they have found a trial drug that blocks the cellular door the virus uses to infect people with COVID-19.

“There is hope for this horrible outbreak,” said UBC Life Sciences Institute director Dr. Josef Penninger.

so being a man is cower in fear over a cold/flu virus which is milder than the seasonal flu which cause more hospitalizations and deaths?
